My favorite weapon is definitely the magnum. That sucker takes those combines out in one shot. So clean, too!
And what a kickback. W00t. I love it.
But yeah, I was sad when I lost my pheraphod. Later, when I went back and played the game again, I used the cheat on Episode 1; Lowlife and tried to use the antlions to my advantage.
Unfortunately, it didn't work. sad
Eh, I guess I'll just have to be happy with playing Nova Prospekt over and over.

Chainsaw Mine is probably the shotgun, with the pheropods a close second.
Shotguns have always been near and dear to my heart, and as awesome as the gravity gun is when I can get saw blades, the shotgun is good in almost any situation.

Ajk141 CaptainBaconMan Super balling is a cool technique you can use in deathmatch. Since your weapons switch faster, get an AR3 and use the secondary fire combine ball, and as you're shooting it, hotkey your gravity gun and fire. the combine ball will go really freaking fast. it's hilarious, I've killed like five people at once with it. Sometimes you get banned for 'hacking' though. There's no such thing as an AR3... Mine's probably either the .357 or the Pulse Rifle. I actually prefer to use the magnum as a sniper weapon over the crossbow, probably because there's virtually no traverse time, plus it does more or less the same amount of damage. The pulse rifle is a lot of fun just because it's so powerful against regular enemies, plus the secondary fire is a blast. If only you could carry more reserve ammo though... very true the magnum is faster to fire and can kill in one shot. i'm a hardcore gamer of halflife so i never hack. thats why i like finding the magnum ammo. it's so useful. but my favorite wepon is the super gravity gun

Hmm.........How many items are insta-kills when launched from a Gravity Gun?
Generally, if it looks like it will kill them, it will. There are few items I can think of that don't, actually. One being the wooden boxes.
