Ilythara watched the Lady survey her and half wondered what thoughts were going through the aristocrat's mind. She quieted her thoughts and pushed her fears away, another emotional outburst wasn't going to help her gain the job after all. She hoped Lady Triel'nolu would refrain from using any magical means to ensure the that she used proper behavior. Mainly because, such magical bindings didn't really work on her. And that would cause her a lot of trouble not to mention losing the chance at the job.
Her feeling soured when Lady Triel coldly remarked,"I've noticed that, about emotions causing people to spiral out of control." Ilythara kept her face blank at the words but was rather please and relieved to hear that the Lady wasn't going to hold her actions against her and was going to retain her services. Ilyth bowed slightly out of respect to the Lady.
"I will do as you ask." She turned to go when she was dismissed but stopped mid stride at the next words that came from the aristocrat. Anger flashed through her, at the lady's intentions of trying to control her through magical means. Though magical bindings didn't have a major affect on her, they were still rather annoying and Ilyth disliked when people assumed that they could control her and that she was nothing more than a warrior. She clutched her hands tightly at her sides, turned slightly around and told her in a cold tone.
"The warning is noted, I shall keep my temper in check, Lady. You might want to keep in mind that magical bindings aren't always very affective in controlling certain drow. If you want to keep someone in control or in your service for a good length of time it might be wise for you to realize this."

Tri-no couldn't believe that she'd forgotten so quickly that Ilythara was fairly immune to magic. Even if she was only immune to the secular magic of mages, Tri-no did not practice the sacred magic of priestesses, and so it was unlikely she could actually follow through on her threat, and that would make her seem stupid if the bodyguard forced her hand. Her scarred and gloved hand flexed as she thought about it. She decided that she was not about to dignify Ilythara's little flare with a response.
Instead she began to collect her effects, pretending to ignore the tall warrior's presence. She would have to become used to ignoring her anyway, and now seemed as good a time as any to start. Her damaged hand was still a little stiff in the slightly cooler climate of Gallidurth, but it functioned as well as it had to in order to perform basic manual actions, such as picking things up and even more finicky tasks like tying knots, though she had not regained full dexterity. As she performed these tasks the silver nails which were attached to the tips of her gloves' fingers sparkled and caught her eye, making her smile. She loved Mas' sense of style.
"I expect you to begin work tomorrow. Today I will be in the market, where I am less likely to encounter trouble than I would be if I was in House Barrith, I suspect, which is why I will not require your presence until then."
She still had a number of other things she needed to attend to, not the least of which was to sit down at some point and think of exactly what she wanted from Mas in exchange for using her body as an incubator for his puppet Matron. She wanted assurances that her future would be secure, but she would have to be more specific than that if they were to bargain. She would also need to purchase some books of illusory magic. When she brushed past Ilythara on her way out of the room her mind was far away.

Ilythara watched the aristocrat gather up her belongings, as though she had never even said anything. For a moment she wondered why the mage was acting so casually towards her. Then it hit her. Of course, she was only a warrior, despite being rather immune to magic. The Mage must not really think of her as much of a threat, seeing as she had just hired Ilyth moments before.
Ilythara's attention honed in on the movements of the Mage's hand. Ilyth frowned slightly seeing that the hand was a bit stiff and apparently damaged in some way. She couldn't help but wonder how that may have happened. The over the top decorations on the gloves Triel wore seemed a bit off, as though it had been a gift from someone with an different sense of style. Probably this Mas'Duan that the Lady had spoken of before.
After the Lady departed, Ilythara strode out a few moments later, grinned in a rather satisfied way and informed the last of those waiting that they could go. Several of the males glared at her openly, and then departed with disgusted looks on their faces. Most however merely shrugged and left off to another interview for the day. Ilyth stopped a servant, asked for directions and then was off to the House of Barrith to get situated.
She found the streets of Gallidurth to be a rather pleasant experience compared to the streets of Llurth Dreir, the city she had been born in. She shook her head though, a week on these streets and any warrior or mercenary would become lethargic and complacent, making them a much easier target. It would be much better to be kept on edge than to be put in such a dull place. It was a good thing that this job wasn't going to be for an indefinite time.
True it would be a good opportunity for her to regain some of her more...refined skills of intrigue and social graces, but she rather preferred the life of a mercenary. It had much more...excitement and bloodshed. She just hoped that the work she did for Triel would be enough to keep her skill from becoming rusty. She supposed, that the inner intrigues of the House of Barrith would have those against what Triel and this Mas were going to do. She would welcome a chance to keep any attempts on Triel at bay. It certainly would be an interesting job for a change, seeing as it would demand her mental and physical abilities. If she did well at it, then she would definitely have to try taking more jobs like it. Perhaps if she satisfied Triel with her services, she might even gain a letter of recommendation from her to other high society individuals. And..she might even be able to get better paying jobs out of it.
She came out of her musings and thoughts of future opportunities when she found herself in front of a rather...opulent stone House. It was rather majestic and was very well kept up. She made her way up the stairs, taking them two at a time, knocked loudly on the door and waited for an answer.
A Male servant opened the door several moments later, and stared up at her with shock on his face. She was after all, quite a strange sight for a House servant to find on the doorstep, seeing as she was completely dressed in body armor and fondly caressing her two headed axe which was stained red from use.
Ilythara smiled pleasantly, saying; "I'm Lady Triel'nolu's bodyguard, Ilythara. Please let elderboy Mas D'aun Barrith know that I am here and that I need a room close to the Lady in order to do my job properly."
