Phantom watched the warriors take general away. he was brushing himself off looking slightly pained at the comment. "Please don't tell anyone i don't want my bad boy image ruined" he pleaded.

She smirked and pressed a finger against her lips "Won't tell a soul." she replied, meaning that.

Phantom takes the gift gingerly and opens it delicately with his fingers not ripping an inch of the paper.

The paper unfolded to show a simple, leather bound book. It was embossed on the front with a design of a flying hawk and a running wolf. When the book was opened it would contain a series of sketches drawn by Hawk's own hand. One was of her and Phantom's first meeting, showing the man sprawled on the forest floor, while the ranger stood near, bemused.
Another showed them both in a tree, it was night and captured the moment of their first kiss. One showed the day of their weddings and another showed Hawk and Phantom, the woman holding Aindreas on the day of his birth. The book was full of sketches from their life, most when she was Sarra but there were quite a few that were recent, when they had reunited and a few whre Phantom had stolen a few kisses. On the first page was a simple inscription, with the date and the words "Phantom- All my Love~ Mena." The woman herself watched him, reddening slightly "So.. do ye like it?" she asked softly.

Phantom held the book in his hands speechless. his eyes where wide and his mouth open only a jar. he gently ran his fingers over the fine embroidery before opening the book and reading the inscription. his fingers trembled every time he turned the page and he took his time to take in every single aspect of every drawing in the book. When Hawk asked him the question all he could do was nod seemingly unable to look away from the book until he had seen every image. when he closed the book again. gently he re wrapped it and put it in a inner pocket of his cloak but it did not yield a lump. looking up at Hawk he tossed around his head for words but was unable to find any. he simply stepped forward holding her against him his arms around her waist. he rested his cheek against hers.

Hawk blinked as his mouth fell open, feeling a smile cross her face as he flipped through the book. Each sketch was drawn with the utmost care, all looking at if the moment had been captured in charcoal and colour. She had been working on it for months and too see his expression now showed that it had all been worth it. She held him as well, leaning on him lightly "Merry Christmas, love." she murmured, voice soft.
