It was late evening, the sun had barely set. Not long before, one of the hunting groups had headed out to seek out nocturnal prey, Yuki included in their company. He'd asked if they planned to retrieve Deacon to come along, but was declined without much further clarification as to why. Deacon had missed hunts before, after all, it was nothing to concern himself with.

Though, it always did take a bit of willpower in the others' part to neglect to mention just where Yuki might find him if he were to look, let alone what he'd be engaged in.

The tabby had not a care in the world, the alcohol in his system had drowned that away hours prior. He sat at his typical table within the Black Moon Inn, cloaked with just enough shadow to hide his identity from being immediately recognized by those entering the establishment. However, it was hard to pay attention to what was going on around when one had a young woman straddling their lap, damn determined to make it a challenge to catch your breath, let alone get a good look around.

As far as that scenario was concerned, Deacon certainly wasn't resisting it.

Tired from the hunt Neko made his way to the only place he knew to relax...and it certainly wasn't home. He hadn't run into Yuki yet and he had never seen Deacon in the first place. So off on his own he found his way to the Inn. It was dark, like it always was, full of music, laughter and the heavy scent of Nepeta and alcohol.

His first objective was the bar as he made his way to it readily but he was soon distracted at the glimpse of a familiar face. Or at least he thought it to be familiar, in the dark it was hard to tell. So to clear his own conscious he decided to investigate and sure enough found Deacon enjoying a few other perks of this particular establishment.

"So this is where you spend you evenings when you don't bother to go hunting," Neko said more amused than anything. There was something about Deacon that he didn't like, he wasn't sure how to pin point it. An air of secrecy and a knack for telling lies. Neko knew all too well how to spot these traits, he held them himself. But there was just something off about Deacon, but it wouldn't keep him from trying to be civil. He did, after all, help out Yuki and Hitsu quite a bit.

When he heard a familiar voice, let alone close, Deacon's hands gripped the girl's shoulders - much further north than they had been before - and he all but jerked her from his lips and far enough away from his face so that he could look upon this person.

For a split second, he looked startled. Like a child with their hand caught in the cookie jar... Which, certainly might not be too far off, though in a much less innocent context. No sooner had he realized it to be Neko, a smirk tugged at his lips and he offered a short laugh. "I'd figured you would have left with the hunting party..." He said quietly, not quite sure what else there could be to say considering his current position.

That was soon remedied, for the lady that had been so eagerly showing him affection removed herself from him, and without much hesitation took her leave from the table. Deacon watched her go, with a slight narrowing of his eyes. He scooted his chair closer to the table and leaned with elbows propped upon the edge before looking up to Neko again. "Well, look at that... And I thought it was impossible to embarrass that one." Of course he wouldn't refer to her by name. Even if she had given it to him... He hadn't listened.

Watching the young girl take her leave Neko eyed Deacon for a moment before taking a seat at the table himself. It wasn't long before he was able to flag down a barmaid to get a drink. "You seem to be quite the lady's man." Excepting his drink from the girl Neko flashed one of his charming smiles making the girl's cheeks flush slightly as she giggled and walked away. "Doesn't seem to take much to get them excited around here though." True enough, that statement was. All the patrons were high on Nepeta whether they were consuming it or not.

"So what brought you here?" Neko asked as he raised his glass to his lips to take the first sip. It was still considered pretty young to be drinking but that never stopped him before.
