Even though the Matron was now speaking to her, Yallinda did not raise her eyes. It was proper custom for a houseless drow not to meet the eyes of a Matron Mother. In fact, it was only the daughters that had that privlidge, and even then not many of them were favored enough to take advantage of that. So Yallinda kept her eyes downcast through out the term of the conversation.
She portrayed no smile, and seemed to not show any sort of pleasure at the softer spoken words and compliments of the Matron. Yallinda kept needlessly reminding herself that this was a old fashioned female, and as such she needed to play her part perfectly.
"Matron, your thanks is all the recompense a simple healer like myself could crave. That and your allowance to bare no punishement for being so bold as to stand behind closed doors with a son of a noble house. I am ashamed to admitt that at times my desire to do as the Goddess has blessed me to do overwhelms proper sense." She paused purposefully to continue her presence as a respectful commoner. Licking her lips a second time, she allowed her head to give a faint nod to the matron.
"I would be very honored if you would consider granting me the opportunity to prove my skills to you Matron. I am weary of the constant traveling and of both the rough company and conditions of merchants. I beg your forgiveness for being boastful, but my skills are of noteable quality. I have exhausted the divine prayers granted to me by the Goddess for this day. But I still retain my herbal lore and my hands are still steady and sure for mundane healing. I would be honored to attempt any test you may decide upon now. Unless you would prefer to see my skills when they are not tapped out as they are now? My caravan suffered a attack before reaching the city today and for this reason alone I will not be able to perform at my best today."

Matron D'shadrea nodded in response to Yallinda's words. She well knew how one could be limited, she was after all a high priestess herself and knew that one could only do as much as the Spider Queen permitted.
"That I understand, seeing as your abilities are tapped out, I will wave the need for a demonstration. Since it is apparent that you can heal, by the looks of the first son, I will hire you on a trial basis. On the morrow, you shall show your abilities first by administering to a few of the Household Staff, who have displeased me today. Once it has been established what your skills are, you will be given a weekly allowance for supplies and your work. Does this arrangement meet your approval?"
Ka'dairihn was pleased with how well everything was working out, if all went well perhaps he would even forgo any sort of punishment. So when the Matron suddenly turned to look at him with a displeased look in her eyes, Ka'da startled slightly, adverting his eyes to the ground and wishing he hadn't been staring so intently on her.
"Now to deal with you," The Matron murmured, ice dripping from her tone. "Don't grovel there half naked like an idiot! Put your damn shirt on! Hmmph..and after I was in labor for two days with you..you'd think you'd have the common decency to be dressed and presentable in my presence!"
Ka'da sighed in relief, and did as the Matron had requested.

It...it was all working out beautifully. This 'pooly planned act' was actually doing exactly what they wanted! Yallida allowed herself a small pleased smile as she was informed of the trial. Oh! She would certainly be able to handle this! Already she knew exactly what to do! She would make certain to heal these servants with nary a scar, if only to prove to the matron that her skills would render the noble flesh in the house un-marred.
Yallinda waited patciently for Ka'da to finish donning his cloths after his scolding. She was very careful not to look over at him at this point. If the Matron was watching her, she did not want to do anything that might make the matron disapprove. First..she had to gain her complete approval. First she had to make the matron fond of her. Enough so that she would see Yallinda involved with her son as a good thing. A way to make her more loyal to this House and more likely to stay for a very veyr long time!
Once it was that Ka'da was prepared, Yallinda would be happy to meekly follow the two noble drow. Her heart soaring with glee. Oh! Finally! A HOUSE job! She was soooo going to make this work.... and she was so...going to get Ka'da for herself...even if she had to jump him and drug him later on. That handsome drow was going to be the key to all her happiness!
