Uttering a soft, slightly offended noise as he was prodded, Shannon took an uncertain step backwards.
"P-path of fear?" He whimpered. "I don't know, I...I didn't know which was which, but you...the lights...the black ones were shouting at me. So I grabbed them, and-" He paused to catch his breath. It was all quite overwhelming to him.
"What was I meant to do? It's...confusing again." He uttered, sounding rather displeased, both with himself and his current situation.

Aha! He'd known he was right. He was always right. The little boy took a step backwards as Susanoo smirked with satisfaction.
"You chose the best path. Bhayanaka contains the great Susanoo!" Susanoo puffed up with pride and leered down, arms crossed, at Shannon.
"Whichever lights you are drawn to, that is the path you choose. Now, are you sure you don't want to run along and touch those... those little pink lights over there and summon that weak little Uzume?" He snored in derision, conveniently forgetting Uzume's thwarting of his plan all those years ago.
"Think about what you want to do. What do you want to make of yourself?"

Shannon thought for a moment. He could choose another path? Those other two sets DID call out to him as well. Maybe this one was shouting at him for some other reason?
"If I grab another set of lights...will it anger the gods? What if I decide I do like this path best, can I come back to it?" Shannon inquired meekly, glancing off slightly to the green lights, and the pale blue lights.
"Or...?" He wasn't sure. After all, this god had informed him that his path WAS the best...right?

Susanoo wrinkled his rather protuberant nose at the Tabula. "But... why would you want to choose another path? You have already selected the best one." He could not, not matter how hard he tried (and Susanoo was trying; it was evidenced by the shimmery beads of sweat that had begun to appear on his forehead), understand this little being. Walk away from Bhayanaka?
"Some of the Pantheon is too nice; too forgiving. They won't be mad. But me..." And his cloudy countenance revealed to Shannon exactly what the God before him thought of forgiveness.
"If you come back..." Susanoo fought with himself. He liked underlings. "Oh, I guess you can come back. But," he thundered, getting worked up once again, "you can't just bounce around paths like a little rubber ball like that. One day you'll run into a sharp object and get deflated." That had been rather clever, Susanoo thought. And they always said he was the dimmer sibling.
