It's not Tolkien Elvish.
"Grey Company" Elvish was made up by some roleplaying nerds with too much time on their hands. It is commonly misued by Tolkien fans because it is usually one of the first results if you search for elvish phrases or elvish tranlation or the like.

Well, I'm not sure where to go to see what I'm doing wrong, as apparently I'm speaking "grelvish". If someone could point me in the right direction, that'd be nice.

Hello! My name is Cresenne, and I've read nearly every single ME-related Tolkien book known to man. I've been a Tolkien fan since I was 8, and though I don't know much about the Elvish languages, I will help all and sundry on anything related to Tolkien's work (for fanfic, rp, etc.).
