An animal is not given supremacy over another simply because we breed them as pets. I'll come outright and say it, if you feel sympathy for a poor cute lil ol puppy but will eat a disgusting smelly chicken then your logic is unbelievabley skewed. I hate to stoop to this level of comparisson, but humans for years said that it was alright to enslave Africans, since they're "uncivilized." You cannot rightly justify the killing of some but not the killing of others. Maybe you're a vegetarian, who knows, I didn't read past like, three psots. Hush, i'm Drunk.

Don't get me wrong, I love you to death. You're lmy favorite person in this guild. But honestly, that's a really really bad reason not to stress over sweatshops. You should NEVER just go with something just because it's so abundantly practiced. Sovawanea's got the right idea -- it's SIMPLE to buy things fair trade, especially now that we have the internet to aid us. Or, if you're ever in a bind, shop at a thrift store. You'll just be reusing something that somebody else paid for. But never, EVER justify something with the fact that it's a common practice.

its sad that people care about wearing puppy fur, but don't care that there are people working for 5 cents a week in terrible conditions...save the animals, but who cares about the people!?
