It took a minute or so for the other equin's voice registered in her head. When it finally did, she looked up from her inspection of the coconut and perked her violet ears forward. The mare waited for this Ashan to finish before she spoke,"I'm Naira. it's very nice to meet you, Ashan."
Ruby eyes now examined this new comer infront of her, the coconut mostly forgotten. Nares flared as she took in his scent, sorting it from the salty sea and wet sand. As she did this she transfered her weight from one wet hoof to the other while her long navy tail swished over her back, leaving wet lash marks on her yellow and violet coat.

Ashan nodded his head in reply. "A pleasure as well Naira," he said watching her curiously "You are different than the others." Ashan motioned to the small horn on her head. He flicked his crimson tail still in a proud stance. Mist off the ocean sprayed over his gray hide. Ashan's forelock, mane and tail swayed in the cool ocean wind.

Naira went cross eyed as she tried to look up at the spot Ashan had indicated to. "Well pointed out considering I'm a unicorn," her reply was some what smartalecky, but that wasn't her intention in full. Looking back to Ashan she lifted her wet and sandy hooves and circled him in her own inspection. One thing she got from him was, well...he was proud, that was for sure...

"There's nothing wrong with that." he wondered if he had offened her. "Sorry if I bothered you," he said sincerly. Ashan followed her movements and turned his head. "Naira, where is your family?" he asked out of the blue, surely she had to have a family. He had left his perivious heard to go exploring alone. They understood.

The mare settled back in front of him, head shaking back and forth a few times before she answered,"no, no, no, you didn't bother me." Mentally she scolded herself for the way she spoke and responded to others. A mental note was then made to remember that...
"My family?" she whizzed out of her train of thought when he asked that. A ear flicked as she thought about that, gaze straying beyond Ashan as she tried to remember. "I'm...not sure. I don't remember them at all. I don't even remember when or how I got to this place (the island)," her ruby gaze shifted back to the stallion in front of her as she spoke. "I guess that's a little silly...Everyone has to have parents, don't they...?" she said with a small hint of uncertainty.

Ashan nodded and smiled he was glad he had not offened her. He listened before he finally spoke, Ashan's ears flicked forward as he waited "Yes" he finally said nodding "Everyone has family even if they don't remeber. I was born on this island..." he said turning his gaze abd looking around "I left so I could explore a bit more, it was rather boring there..." the large gray stallion brought his gaze back toward the unicorn mare.
He shook some sand free of his hooves "It's not silly. If one cannot remember, one can not remember..." he said certain of himself. "It make's no difference in the present, you are were, you are..."

Naira gave a firn nod of her head," you're right...How long has it been since you've left your herd?" she asked as his own words on his past gripped her interest.
((sorry that it sucks and is really small. my posts usually aren't like that but I'm rushing because I'm going to my cabin in like...20 minutes so yea. I won't be back till either Tues or Wed. but I will have limited internet access and I'll try to respond and if not..yea. Really sorry ;_;! ))

Ashan smiled "It has been a few years now," he replied thinking back a while. He gave a small smile "Yeah," he said calmly "just a few years" he muttered under his breath as he looked skyward into the blue. Staring far past the sky at which he looked.

Candar shook his head, blowing a soft raspberry as he looked out.
"Hey, look. There are others. C'mon!" Without waiting for Zoo's reply, he took off sprinting the length of the beach.

Naira listened with perked ears before following his gaze towards the sky. She became a little confused as to why he was looking up there and a red eye slid to look at him before returning up. "It's muh prettier at night..
" she commented while watching a puffy cloud blow lazily by.

Ashan lowered his head "Of course, with the dazzling stars in a dark sky." he said "The sky is calmling as is the ocean" he added quietly. Ashan shook his crimson mane ears flicked and he began looking around some one else was nearby he thought he heard a faint voice somewhere, or he thought anyway. "Did you hear something?" he asked Naira.

Naira had failed to hear Ashan's reply for her ears had picked up the same sounds Ashan would comment about just a second later. "Yes...It came from...over there!" She said with some enthusiastic tone as ruby eyes caught a black figure racing down the beach. Imaginary brows rose and she looked back to Ashan,"wonder who that is.." Naira had failed to realize it was the same black male she had seen earlier with that other horse, Zoo was her name?

Ashan turned his gaze toward the figure running for them. A large black male "I wouldn't know" he said looking closer his ears forward. He shited position and waited "Hey what's you name?" he called over a distance. A warm wind blew past ruffling his red mane.

The odd colored mare continued to watch the black figure gallop up the beach. She looked to Ashan for a second as he called out to the other, one ear turning towards him while the other kept forward. Through dark hooves, Naira could feel the vibrations of the approcher's heavy steps.
When ruby gaze shifted fully back of the black thing and was able to see some detail, she started to remember a few fuzzy things, but still didn't realize it was the male she had glanced at earlier that day,"they look familiar....Ah, yes!" she finally remembered and the image clicked in her head...though a name did not.

(Ah, forgive me! I forgot all about poor Zoo there ^^;; )
Zoo followed after the other at a more sedate pace, her legs taking her just shy of a slow amble. More and more Equis were making themselves known, which was good. Maybe her herd could be re-made one day with all of them.
