He licked his jowls. "It's what we do. We hunt, we kill. if it's sick or injured, that just makes it easier for us." His head was still lowered. The pelt he wore looked like it was smiling at Haldora. An evil grin on it's dead face. The hollow eyes replaced with Mars's eyes. The softness in the blue pools had vanished, replaced with an ice cold stare. "Move." he warned.

Her body crouched in response to the smiling pelt as well as the growled words. Mars was different than the being she came across the night before. More... Well, to be honest, Haldora was frightened, probably just as the shaking bat between her front feet.
Could she let him eat the little bat? Sure. Would her conscience let her? Not at all. The Angeli snarled, " No." Her back claws dug into the ground, her wings spread open, and in a quick bounce against the floor, she was heading straight for the male, jaws open to dig and taste his blood, or at least, give the little bat enough time to free itself.

Mars tumbled, the angeli's teeth barely missing his face. Mars snapped back, only getting a taste of her fur. He struggled and got to his feet growling. She was fast. The bat was now forgotten, and his focus was fully on the female. He jumped at her, trying to get to her side and mangle one of her wings and ground the pitiful soul. (I'll kill her) Mars knew that thought wasn't his own. He stumbled, his attack falling short. He shook his head. "No..." He was bristling under the fur.
"You die!" Mars attacked again, snapping at her wing. he stood between Haldora and the opening to the cave. She only had one way out, and that was through him.

This aggressive behavior was troubling. His lunge at her was noted, the female paused in fright. He was stronger than her, no doubts about that. She braced herself for the attack, tensing her muscles, only for the attack to never come. Her eyes gazed at Mars, confusion dancing in those green eyes.
True concern came over her. Haldora forgot the danger and took a step forward, only to think quickly at the cry for her death. She steped down hard, bringing her wings close to her body, making her body mass and her vitals safer in theory from the mad akuma. Her plan was to hit his chest with her shoulder, surprise him just enough, and make a break for the outside. Maybe the shock of the sudden defensive attack would startle him enough to throw him outside as well, but either way, she was going to get outside. Loosing a bit of fur in the process was only a minor and dismissible risk at this point. Haldora had to live to kill her 'God'; Mars wasn't allowed to stop her.

The impact knocked Mars back. He coughed once in surprise, trying to uncloud his mind. "Haldora..." He said and gave chase to her. "I won't let you live!" He snapped at her again, getting a feather from her wing as she bolted past. He chased her into the sunlight where he jumped in front of her and spread his wings. "Haldooooora... He cares about your well being, isn't that nice?" Mars grinned at her, stepping closer. "I'll be nice, and it will be qui- GAH!" He had to stop and shake his head. A strange red powder drifting down, sprinkling onto his pelt. Mars growled, trying to paw off the powder. "W.. what's going on?" His eyes widened.

A yip escaped as the feather was pulled from her wing. It was rather troubling, but she didn't stop when she heard his voice. But sunlight felt nice on her back. It was warm, it was comforting to be able to be out in the light..But at the same time, too bright. She had to squint to see anything with the way the sun was angled. It didn't help that he managed to get back in front of her quickly.
Her wings spread out, folding loosely as her teeth bared at his words. Cared? He? But wasn't that Mars speaking? Wait...no... Mars wouldn't kill a thing, she coudln't imagine him killing anything at all. Not with the story he told... Her lips quivered as she crouched, looking up at the male only to pause mid growl as...dust... fell...from the sky?
" What the... ? " Yay for easily distracted persons! She stood up and just stared, not exactly sure what to do. Her head tilted to the side, her nose bouncing up and down trying to sniff out this odd...new...thing. " Mars? " She thought quickly...it was agitating him... it... could hurt him. But, hadn't he tried to kill her? Yes, no, oh she didn't know anymore! The female took this as her chance and sprang forward, not to hurt Mars, but to at least get him away from this odd irritating red dust. " Stop rubbing it in! " she tried to get him to listen, tugging on the pelt to try to pull him away from the shower.

Mars let her pull on him. The pelt seemed to hold onto Mars, as if part of his skin. Mars shook his head again before flopping down. "I'll... I'll kill you! No stop!" he was quivering "I won't loose to you! No stop!" Mars barked once and slammed his eyes shut, a faint whimper coming from his lips.
"Make it stop..." He said, his voice timid again. "I won't let you hurt her." As he lay there like the pitiful thing he had been the night before, a flash of red and black drifted overhead, watching them.

She was stunned, though she let up after it was clear the skin wouldn't come off. Hal was stunned at his actions though. Yelling at her. Telling her she would be killed, but was he speaking to himself she couldn't help but wonder at the same time.
The angeli just stood there, eyes wide beneath that saber cat's pelt, unsure what exactly to do. A wave of sympathy came over her. Her head moved down and gently she licked the side of his face. " It stopped... it's okay, Mars... I'm fine... It didn't hurt me..." Poor guy was batty, alright. She had half the mind to tell him that, Yet...something moved out of the corner of her eyes and the female was growling at this flash of black and red, her eyes searching for this new annoyance, unaware how her wings spread out in a veil over the pitiful male.
" What are you! Come out! "

Something landed gently on her wing. A large butterfly. It's wings slowly moved as it sat there watching them. It looked like it was trying to ask something, the way it's antennas moved. Mars looked up, his eyes soft again. "Haldora... I'm dangerous. I'm sorry." He said softly, eyes moving up towards the butterfly. "He agrees. Some thing's not right about me..."
The butterfly just remained sitting on her wing.

Hal could only blink at the beautiful thing. Had she ever seen something so pretty and...well, darn tooting it was dangerous from its coloration. There was one problem, she didn't speak bug. Her head tilted in confusion, wanting to know what the little bug was thinking, but, her head turned back to look down at the male. " Its okay... No harm was done. A few.... " She blinked, letting what he said in. The butterfly...spoke? When? " Mars... you... the bug... spoke? "
Clearly she was confused until a rustling in the cave caught her attention. " Ack! The bat! " The butterfly forgotten, even if it was sitting on her wing, Hal bounced back into the cave, very gently freeing the poor little bat from it's prison. THe little mammal crawled and clung to her fur, hiding under her wing shaking, squeaking adamantly. Jebus...it was a chatterbox. Her tail flicked back and forth as she moved, her wings folded against her loosely, attention to the small black fur that miss-matched hers. " ... talking bugs..phft... the bat makes much more sense than a bug. "

Mars was slowly getting to his feet and took a step towards the Cave. He could still feel something wanting to get out. Something bad. "Haldora?" He looked into the cave. The Butterfly slowly fluttered off of Haldora's wing and drifted about the cave a moment, then out towards Mars. "Hello there little one." he watched it. The bug hesitated before alighting on his head between his ears. "Is it ok?" He asked softly when he could see her form again.
