Dragon's mouth opened... and closed... and opened again... and closed a final time. He couldn't say ANYTHING. This woman had fixed a congenital defect he'd had since he was a child. If only he could bottle that and give it to the people at the hospital he was interned at. His eyes shone gratitude. And his weren't the only. The plant - as Soma had called it - rubbed up against Dragon, then against Soma, shooting the image of the written words 'Thank You!' to her, from a magazine he'd seen Dragon reading. Then, he went back to guarding and protecting the intern. It was his job, after all, to watch out for things like that. Both Dragon AND 'Leafy' were extraordinarily happy right about now. Dragon was so much so that he actually HUGGED Soma, which could be taken several different ways, while it was meant as gratitude.

"Okay, no. Get off of me."
Soma's arms were pinned at her side when Dragon hugged her, an obvious sign of human gratitude or whatever, and pursed her eyebrows down in disapproval and annoyance at the action. She didn't do it so he could thank her, not at all, she did it to prevent herself any future annoyances involving this man and his floating topiary.
"Verbal works plenty fine here in this domain, no need to touch me. I can always correct a mistake if I need to you know, and make it a bit more special."
Which was Soma's way of saying 'I can always kill you on the spot, you know' though she didn't directly come out and say it. She'd never make open threats to anyone who didn't have it outright coming.

As Dragon backed off, 'Leafy' came up, and settled against him, exuding a comforting kind of warmth. Dragon reached into his pocket, fingering the willow-bark stethoscope that was in his labcoat. It had been given to him only recently, and he hadn't had time to put it up or anything. But it brought comfort. The intern quickly stepped away from the woman, and lowered his head - which caused his cat-ears to fall off. Grateful for the distraction, he bent down to pick them up, trying to blink away tears he didn't even know the reason for. After he'd gathered both of the items, and put them into the other pocket of his labcoat, he brushed Rai's shoulder with his hand, then took off into a run, helped by the 'paw' contraptions on his feet to gain speed. He shot upstairs, and out to one of the balconies before anyone could see him.
Of course, the Willow tagged along after his guardian, worried. Soma - by his thinking - had no right to do that. He'd upset the impressionable young intern, made him think he did something wrong. And that was just not right in his book. Oh, if he could only give Soma a piece of his mind! But no - Soma was not at fault. Neither was Dragon. It was only the situation, and not the attendees to it. All 'Leafy' could do was hover close, and provide a sort of warmth while Dragon sagged down against the railing of the balcony, drew his knees to his chest, and cried. His arms wrapped around his knees, and his head in his arms, he made a pitiable sight. But he was out of reach of the party, and Rai SHOULD know better than to follow him. Sometimes people just need to cry. The Willow hoped that the Wind knew that, and would prevent Rai from taking any action at all.

As he was about to comment on how adorable Dragon was regardless, a stranger sauntered over to comment on the unusual heart palpitations the boy suffered. Rai had not been ignorant of it and had been observing but found himself swiftly outmaneuvered by this newcomer. Within a moment the problem was declared cured, the boy ecstatic, and then a flurry of tears. Needless to say, the man was considerably confused and stood quiet for a bit. After Dragon had run off, he turned to the one who had caused some grief but at the same time caused such momentous relief that he was careful about his approach. "Excuse me, I apologize for the enthusiastic reaction of my mate, but I sincerely thank you for what you've done for him. I'm sure he didn't mean to make you uncomfortable, though, perhaps it was a mite rough to shoo him off like that...he's probably beside himself for upsetting you."
Upon the Willow having run off to Dragon, the Wind found itself a little put off. To the elegant lady who had given her name, he flowed happily for a bit, pleased. Celeste! What a pretty name! The Wind sent a sense of compliment towards her but accompanied it with a sense of withdrawal in association with its partner. In a way, it was a playful, "I'll be back as soon as I find him, so excuse me" that lasted just as long as his presence for he soon shot off again to find his Willow. Having seen the direction Dragon had taken, the Wind ventured off through the crowd, projecting pictures of the Willow wherever he went as he sought him.

Nayeli grinned. "I will. Promise." Still, he left one arm draped over her shoulder. Ravina, he was sure, was his best friend.
Well, next to Soma.
