Because of something like your computer freezing, that ever happened to you? Very irksome... Could be worse though. At least my computer didn't crash and die on me. That would have been bad.

Could you give any tips or anything on trading? I don't even fully understand how to, but I snagged a hatchling I know one of my friends wants, and I want to trade it successfully to her.

I can give you some tips.
You normally use a code like this to trade.
http://dragcave.net/getdragon/CwRR
You can get this bit CwRR from the hatchling or eggs code.

You normally just need to figure out a time that you can both be on, and when your both on your friend would have to go to the page using the url. Then you would abandon the egg while your friend keeps refreshing the page. It normally works, but sometimes it can fail. Fails happen, the best thing to do it try and try again.

Well, that method has worked three times for me and failed twice^^ It worked when a friend of mine gave me her male gold hatchling since mine likes to breed females and I have been wanting a male for a while. And I gave a gold egg to one of my friends and she gave me a female two headed in return. And will hopefully give me an alternate baby when she mates the gold I gave her with an alt she picked up abandoned. I tried to trade two blacks to another friend but both failed, I think because of lousy connection.

I'm 1 for 2 on trades.
The first one, I'm just gonna blame the time we chose. xD It was really close to an egg drop and I guess someone scooped it up before she could. Second time, big success. ^^;

Most of my trades have worked out. I think I might have had 5 failures in over 20 trades. I have found the best way is to give the time you wish to drop and have them there with the getdragon code refreshing like mad. If Tink's computer hadn't froze she would have gotten the gold trade. sad I just hope the person that got it takes good care of it cause the first person that had it almost killed it. crying

I've never failed getting an egg/hatchling or trading them off...yet. Maybe some of you guys failed to trade/get an egg because of bad communication? (almost lost an egg because the person I was trading with abandoned without telling me, luckily, I had my doubts and was refreshing the page already).

Gave an egg to a friend ages ago. I did that one just by abandoning with her refreshing. Had a silver go missing a couple weeks ago. I managed to get an alt black from serene38, just last night using the get dragon code and refreshing. That method seems to be the best bet by far. Gaia's IM makes it much easier to talk to each other too.

I've had.. three [maybe four] out of three trades work so far.
When I do it, I have the person pm me right before they want me to drop it and then they just start refreshing on that get dragon page.
I wouldn't base it on time because it might not be at the exact time, plus the time zones could be different.
