Lunar's ears twitched to the sudden activity. She watched as Howlite went into the cave and looks over at Jaden. Howlite seeemd to just keep getting more aggressive. She wasn't to sure how to handle that. But since Jaden was tending to Joska Lunar took to the cave. She padded toward Howlite and sat near by him. "Howlite. Do you know what you did wrong?" She asked him in a serious tone.

Twinkle wiggled a bit looking around. She didn't want to get into the fray of things but she didn't want to be alone either... She looked over at Twilight and knew the idea of being near him wasn't all that plausible so she just laid where she was and sighed some.

Twilight raised how head at what just happened. Joska was smaller and a little more fragile then the rest, even their sister. And as much as there needed to be some protection for him.. it was probably just a mistake on Howlite's part thinking it was one of the other brothers.

Joska sniffled lightly, but was quickly regaining some of his composure while Jaden and Strophel fussed over the scratches Howlite had delivered. He blinked and gazed up at Jaden, then glanced to Astro.

"'M'okay, now. It dun' really hurt." Which was a lie, but he didn't want to look like he couldn't fend for himself, nor did he want to seem like a crybaby. He was really just worried that the whole ordeal was just his fault.

Howlite, hearing someone coming in this time, buried himself deeper under the leaves. That didn't stop him from being able to hear his mother's serious voice, however, and he mumbled something that sounded similar to a "yes" to her. He would have preffered Jaden to have come, since he didn't seem as threatening. And for some reason, he seemed to like Jaden more, as if it were Lunar's fault that all but him happened to get the markings of her pelt. His tail twitched in agitation, sending a few leaves flurrying.

"Are you sure, son?" Jaden asked, wanting to make sure. He didn't want anything else to go wrong on the first litter of pups he was taking care of. They weren't even adolescents yet but they were growing up so fast and he was still unsure of what pups usually did. Even their playful romps got him worried and he would try to spend most of his spare time looking after them, although nothing ever really happened.

"I'm sure!" He yipped hastily, though he grimaced as he spoke. The stinging on his nose and on his backside made his eyes water, but he was determined to keep a stiff upper lip. If his dad thought that a little, painful tussle like that would hurt him too badly, how would he ever get to grow up and leave the den?

Still, he couldn't help but to press up against the red and white Alpha. He had been frightened by Howlite and the aggressive "attack."

Lunar lowered her head and she worked at some of the leaves off the pup. "Then why did you do it?" She settled down and sat. She was trying to figure out what was going on with him. Her ears flicked and she raised a brow.

Howlite was still bristling with rage and guilt, and the two emotions clashed through him. He growled with the injustice of it. It wasn't his fault Astin had decided to make him the target for his amusement. It wasn't his fault Joska was always nosing about where he shouldn't, and that it happened to be him there, instead of someone else.

But only he and Astin really knew what had happened, for the others were elsewhere, busy with their own things. He lifted his head from the leaves, glaring at his mother defiantly. "Because I could." he said casually, as if he did it every day. And besides, it was true, wasn't it? He knew he could defeat his siblings in battle if he really tried but he strayed away from mock fighting with his parents, knowing that they could easily claim victory with his small size.

Jaden smiled down softly at Joska, his fur fluffing up proudly. He liked how Joska was always trying to act brave and he nosed him playfully. "If you say so." he said, chuckling lightly. He wrapped his tail around Joska protectively, looking around to make sure the others were still close. It seemed a father's duty never ended.

Lunar let out a sigh and she looked down at him. "If you're feeling aggressive... try playing it out with your father..." She eyes him, did this anger come from Hotah? She had no idea he was that aggressive... But then again its not like she really bothered to get to know him. She wondered it was Jaden; this wouldn't have been an issue.

"I do says so, Daaaaad." Joska replied in alost a playful tone. The little incident was seemingly "forgotten" as the pup tried to move on and keep from dwelling on the surprising pain that he found himself saddled with. He narrowed his silver eyes in mock annoyance and his long tail wagged as he pulled away from Jaden ever so slightly and peered up at him.

"So-so-so,when can you teach me more about hunting, Dad?" He badgered lightheartedly.

Jaden smiled at the young pup, nosing him fondly. "You'll have to wait." he said. "Like the others. Wait till you're older." He curled his tail around his paws, his eyes flickering distractedly. He knew his pups didn't like the word "wait" and he tried to think of a way to make up for it. And he still hadn't forgotten about Howlite.

Howlite had to lower his eyes after a moment, for he was still too fearful to keep on the challenging gaze for long. "I don't want to play with him." he mumbled, burying his nose in the leaves. He felt his short fur bristle and he snorted, sending the leaves near his nose scattering. "I don't want to play with anyone. They're no fun at all."

He turned his head away, curling up on the bed of leaves. He purposely gave a loud yawn and covered his nose with his tail, trying to show that he had no intention of listening after that point. He closed his eyes, pretending to sleep, hoping his mother would leave him alone.

Lunar growled at Howlite and she stormed out of the den. She paces around the entrance and then sighed. She had no idea how to handle this... But maybe over time it would get better. She shook her head and looked over at Jaden who was with the pups.

Twilight had wandered off.

Twinkle instantly joined her mother.

Howlite flattened his ears but managed to keep up his facade. He was relieved to hear his mother leave, especially after she had growled, and when he was sure she was gone, he poked his head out above the leaves. The cave was empty and Howlite frowned. What was he supposed to do to keep himself entertained?

Shaking himself free of his leafy prison, he went over to the back entrance his parents had shown him before and crawled into the space. Walking as quietly as he could, he reached the end, and after a quick three-sixty, he zoomed off...

...and crashed into Twilight.

Twilight felt the impact and she was pushed back and he wielded around to look for the cause. It was then, that he saw his brother. In all his albino glory. He didn't say anything at first. Twilght was arrogant, and often looked down on his siblings. but he had noticed Howlite's outbursts.

"Hm... Running off? I don't think mother would approve."

Howlite bristled as soon as he was on his feet again. He flattened his ears at his brother and attempted a snarl, stiffening his legs.

"Obviously." Howlite snorted. "So you better not tell her."

Howlite watched his brother for a few more seconds, as if wondering if it was safe to trust him. He wanted to fight, but didn't want to get in any more trouble than he already was in, in case someone found him. Finally, he stepped to the side, and attempted to run off again.
