Raya! Cypress fussed, seeing the response the little hybrid's action had had on her guests. Come here and apologize! she berated in a motherly tone. Head held down in mock shame (she really wasn't ashamed; she was having fun, after all) Raya bobbed over in front of Aureus and dipped her head in apology, offering a quick wink before whisking off again, this time towards the sandwiches. Cypress sighed and shook her head.

Oh yes, she is. Turning out to be quite the prankster . . . she said with a quirk at the corners of her mouth. Raya could be quite entertaining, but she needed to learn where the boundaries were. Red panda, ivy, and robin Cypress said in response to Aureus' question. I think it's the panda that does it, myself . . . she said with a slightly puzzled look on her face. Red pandas were related to raccoons, after all, and they could be quite cute and troublesome as well. Still, neither of them seemed too bothered at Raya's antics, which was good. Punch? she asked, already grabbing two cups for the twins before glancing over her shoulder with her typical charming smile, waiting for their reply.

Khamsyn strolled down the hall casually as he made his way back to his dorm room. He'd been in the library, as usual, working for several hours. His latest project was a book titled "God's Debris" and it was in dire need of repair. So much so that he didn't even know what it was about yet. It would take quite a while since the majority of the pages needed work, but thankfully it wasn't a large book and there didn't seem to be any illustrations. But that was work, and he was done with that for today. He tried to push it out of his mind or he knew he's end up obsessing.

As he neared his room, he caught sight of one of Cypress' posters out of the corner of his eye. Pausing, he looked it over carefully. A slumber party wasn't really his thing. The sushi party was one thing, but this was different. But maybe that was a good thing. It could be a much needed distraction and yet another opportunity to meet his fellow students. He made up his mind to at least stop by. But first, he'd need to change.

Once he got back to his room, Khamsyn started thinking about what to wear. It was a slumber party, sort of, so his first thought was to show up in what he slept in. But since he often slept without anything on, he quickly dismissed the idea. He needed to be more bold, but that would be really pushing it. Besides, he'd die of embarassment before he even left his own room in that case. After rooting through a few drawers, the closet and under his bed, he found something he thought would work well enough. He pulled out a pair of cream coloured pajama pants made of a super soft, comfortable silk and that had a drawstring at the waist. Slipping them on, he cinched them tight enough that there was no danger of them falling around his ankles. Speaking of ankles, he also donned on a pair of soft slippers of a matching cream colour. He looked in the mirror.

"Not bad..." he mumbled to himself, then stared at his own bare torso and sighed. "...but I need a shirt or something."

He rustled through the closet again, pulling out several types of top, but in the end putting them back unsatisfied. When did he become such a clothes horse? Then, out of the corner of his eye he spotted something. It wasn't an article of clothing he'd normally associate with a slumber party or bedtime outfit, but maybe that's exactly what he needed. Grabbing it, he put it on and returned to the mirror. He smiled as he looked upon the embroidered waistcoat he'd donned. It buttoned up to the sternum and contained a myriad of colours. Amoung them, silver, gold, azure, purple, teal and a few traces of emerald green. Lastly he grabbed the light robe that had come with the pajama pants, cream in colour with a sash of tan, slipped it on without doing it up and headed out.

By the time he'd reached Cypress' door, his nerves were getting very frayed. He was having second thoughts and started fumbling with his clothing. He had to stop himself otherwise he'd end up a mess. With a deep breath, he entered and froze. He saw some faces he knew and others he didn't. Without even realizing it, he snatched up a pillow and held it awkwardly in his hands, kneading it relentlessly. He spotted Cypress and walked straight for the hostess.

"Hello." He croaked when she wasn't busy talking to someone else. Uhh... nice place you have here." Small talk was one of his worst skills it would seem. At least it was today.

Morrow smiled and leaned back a bit as the Echoes introduced themselves - mentally noting which one was which. Not really too hard for him, being such a visual person. He was already planning to ask them at some point if perhaps he could draw them.

In point of fact... he pulled his sketchbook from a small bag that he'd brought and settled on the floor to start sketching a few of the people there. An artist was never without the tools of his trade, after all.

Cypress peeked out from behind the Echoes to see who had come and joined in the party. Heya Khamsyn! Thanks! How's things in the library? she asked, not aware of his job there, but knowing that he chose to spend much of his time there. Cypress was all happy and bubbly at the moment; her party was already turning out to be a great success! Belwen, Morrow, Aureus, Argentum, and now Khamsyn. That was more than she had realistically hoped for, though her hopeful list had also included a few more; Empyrs she already knew; mainly Cyphr, Grave, and Yalitza. Still, things were going pleasurably well for her first party, and she couldn't be happier with the results.

Khamsyn waved back, almost dropping the pillow in the process. "Things are going well in the library, I'm making good progress in my job. Of course I've only completed restoration of one book thus far, but it looks like it's a great one." He refered to the Rig Veda, a book that was priceless to anyone who worhipped Vedic gods. It was also a good book for those who didn't as well because it dealt with chakras and channeling as well. He still had to show it to Grave and/or Requiem, so that they could make it available to other students. Professor Eleuthero and Professora Melonia might want to see it first though.

"So..." He looked around seeing Morrow and the echoes. He also noticed Belwen and blushed slightly. He didn't rush to her side, though he wanted to. He didn't want to crowd her. He wanted to seem a little aloof, even though she was in his thoughts quite a bit lately. "...can you explain the deal with these pillow again?" He asked Cypress, not clear on the concept or maybe just trying to clarify his fears.

((*squee!!!!!!!* Ohmigosh the chibis are so cute!!!! *saves* ))

Oh wow, I didn't know you worked there! That would explain a lot! Cypress said with a friendly smile, now wondering if she could add Khamsyn to the list Grave was already on for friendly library help. She smiled at the thought. Any help navigating the treasure trove of books was help she was willing to take!

Oh, yes, the pillow game! Cypress said, looking around to everyone; Argentum in particular. Well, it'll work better the more people that come, but the general idea is that, before you can move on to the next room, you have to meet the person with the matching pillow as yourself and tell them three things they don't know about you. It can be as mild or as embarrassing as you like! You just can't have the same partner in every room. If you don't have a match, go by colors Cypress said, raising her voice just enough over the fiddle music so that everyone could hear her. She sure hoped more people showed up; it would make the game that much more fun!

That was interesting combination! The twins smiled their approval as they tilted heads to watch the mischievous hybrid flit around. She was awfully cute. At the offer of punch Aureus nodded, "Thank-you." They reached for the cups and took a sip only to find Cypress involved in a conversation with a new arrival.

Chuckling softly, they let her be and scanned the room, spotting a small melancholy busily sketching away. Curious, the meandered over to Morrow and leaned forward slightly, "May we ask what you're drawing?" Argentum's voice was light and respectful, interested.

Morrow jumped just slightly at the sudden voice - as he'd been concentrating. But he didn't mind, glancing up with a little smile for the Echos. "I'm just making some little sketches of the people here," he replied, turning his sketchpad around so they could see.

They were really just simple little things - but it would fix the party in his memory and he might be able to add more to the drawing later, or even do small paintings.
