How are your midterms going?

My Historiography test crashed and burned. I was unable to answer three at all, and another three had only once sentence answers. So... that knocks me down to about a 73 as my top score.

Apparently I'm not alone in this though, hopefully she curves it...

I graduated from university last summer, so no more mid-terms for me! ^0^
(though right now I'm stuck in transition between 3 jobs and moving between 2 cities at once, so I'm not sure it's all that different...)

Best of luck on everyone having their mid-terms! We,ll cheer you on! *puts on Cheerleader costume* GO GO GO!

Ugh, I used to hate mid-terms so much! *comforts* I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore xp

*Cat calls at the cheerleaders outfit*

Only difference is less tweed suit jackets.

Had my last two today, they both went much better, I'm still hoping for a curve on the first one.

I'm a slacker so I'm not in college yet, even though I was class of 03 sweatdrop

None the less, good luck!

I got married and dropped out of college. My hubby keeps harassing me to go back and get a degree, but... I don't like getting up early, hate taking classes in subjects that don't interest me (but are required for graduation) and I have issues with disagreeing with the teachers quite often sweatdrop Especially when it comes to English classes and knowing that liking or disliking a particular subject of a paper that was written is quite a subjective opinion and an unfair way to grade someone.

I'm just too mouthy and opinionated xp I even got yelled at a lot in my Confirmation classes (when I was 16) by the nun teaching us for questioning and disagreeing with stupid edicts. So I dropped out and decided organized religion suxx0rz ninja

Hmm, half of college is learning how to deal with idiots at all levels and stupid rules. As irritating as it is, if I could get away with it, I'd just stay in school than get a job. Too bad that ain't happening.

Now I have to make an annotated bibliography for a paper I'm not sure on how to write. Historiography can kiss my butt.

I know how you feel! I hate that if I want to go for what I want, which is psychology, I'd have to take those stupid required classes like math. And also, college teachers, even more than high school, are way to damn opinion-based with their grades. I've known people who took art classes and got graded based on what the teacher LIKED, not even skill or technique.

Got back my test from US History 2 (1876-1972):
89%
Was hoping for an A, but much better than my other courses so far. >.>

Historiography prof said there will be a curve, but she as to be inventive as the top score was 102/100.

US History 1 (1492-1875) is in 30 minutes.
::EDIT::Got my test back here, got an 88%, which historaccally with this teacher is what I get. So I'm kinda happy. I thought I did better, but at least I didn't do worse.

As to core classes, they do kind of suck, but you might find something you like. I found history because it was a core class. History is a hell of a lot better in college. Sociology was surprisingly interesting, as is philosophy. There are some crazy, bloody things that happen in society.

Math can kiss my a**, but for a non-science major you don't go much farther than what you got in high school. Protip: if your school offers a single class that is at an end of a track (i.e. doesn't continue to calculus) take that. The only class I had to drop was Algebra, and that was because it was actually pre-calc. That and on the first test I had the 11th highest grade of 23, and I had a 65%. The teacher was a nimrod. But yeah, after you get past what you don't like (take it early, but with enough classes you like that you aren't put on academic probation,) but there is a lot of really interesting stuff that you were never exposed to in public school and won't find on your own willingly.
