Brilyan nodded at that. "And so we shall. Laelira is her name, she's a sweet girl..usually.." he winced.
Giacare lifted a brow at that but didn't ask, eating and then seeming to note Vaan's awkwardness. He paused and then smiled at the other before grinning a bit. "Relax, Vaan. The pancakes don't bite, I assure you." he teased lightly before making a show of eating a bite of one of his, only to stab his cheek, missing during his play. He winced and Brilyan burst out laughing at his accident. Giacare flushed sheepishly, but seemed pleased to have made Brilyan laugh.
Brilyan grinned and set his hand on Vaan's back, fingers toying with the other's hair. "Look, Vaan, someone clumsier than you. Perhaps he's your long lost brother." he joked.
Giacare's expression stilled a moment as he glanced at Vaan' brow furrowing slightly before he looked away and silently started in on his pancakes.
Brilyan realized his error. "Oh..Giacare..I'm so sorry..I wasn't thinking.."
"It's alright..I'll find my brother, one way or another...and I'll protect him this time around..I won't let him be taken from me again." Giacare said firmly, clenching his hand before sighing as he went back to eating, or rather, now poking at his pancakes with a fork, his appetite gone.

"Usually...?" That didn't sound good. But all he could really hope for now was that this girl, Laelira, would agree to stay with them.
Watching Giacare's attempts at eating were amusing, though why did Bril have to say brothers? Vaan looked even more awkward and uncomfortable as well. Brilyan would hopefully attribute it toward his lack of memories more than anything else.
"Aldight... Ah....." He sighed a little and looked at Brilyan, unsure of what to say. "...Laelira. What should I do to bring her here." He had plenty of time to get the wedding set up, even if it took all year--which he doubted.
