My band marched in the MSU Homecoming parade on Saturday. Well after the parade we go to this arena and watch MSU's band. There's not much room inside so all of the bands leave their instruments outside infront of the arena. There's never been a problem....before now. After we went inside some kids from another band snapped the reeds on all of our woodwind instruments. It just shocks me that somebody could be so petty and shallow.
Yes. St. Clair has an 19 year streak of getting all the trophys in the 4-A class. But we have NEVER rubbed it in anyones face or done anything rude to our fellow bands. It's not something that we do. And if we ever did, the Swoffords would burn us at the stake. Seriously.
So I do and don't understand the poor sportsmanship that whoever it was (and I do have an idea of who it was) exibited.
...Sorry for the rant, I had to get that out of my system.

Well, at least they were only reeds... The intent is what bugs me though. People who show such poor conduct don't need to be in a band at all. I'd be just grateful they didn't do somethign worse... reeds are easily replaced. An entire section's instruments, not so much. confused
