Then Alice had a really good idea "I could be a kitty-witch!" she squeaked happily, bouncing on her toes. "Suuuuuuuuure! I'd love to see then!"

"Yeah, yeah, cummon!" Nadia said, taking the girl's hand and bringing her over to her father, "Hi! I'm Nadia Miller. Just out costume shopping. I know some great patterns for kids. Would you mind if I take...oh. Oh my." She crouched again.
"Honey, what's your name?"

The angel girl giggled and fluttered her wings as she spoke. "I'm Alice Fenmoore, and that's Daddy." he said to the man.
Harriet smiled sheepishly. "I'd prefer to follow along, if that's all right. I don't completely know you and I'm sure you're a great person, but I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to let Alice out of my sight yet." he answered shyly.

"Of course! That's why I didn't just run off with your kid," Nadia laughed as she stood again, "Cummon. I know just the pattern." She led the girl and her father off to the back where the patterns were and immediately plucked one out of the shelf. It was a cutesy pattern with a ballerina-esque dress and a cute floppy with hat...and very, very obviously made for children. She must have modified it for herself.
"And...here." She nabbed another Easy-to-Sew pattern from the shelf, containing all different kinds of ears and tails.

Harriet smiled broadly, seeing how happy Alice was at the little sight of the patterns. "Thank you for helping us, we didn't know what we were going to do."
Alice bounced happily and took the patterns carefully and handed them to her daddy.
"These are pretty daddy! We can make a kitty-witch costume for me! And ears and tails for you and Bella! We could even make Bella a hat!"

Nadia nodded and continued to lead the pair on. "And this is the discount section. You'd be surprised at what you can find in here." But she'd begun mumbling by the end of the sentence and searching on her tip-toes through a high rack.
"Aha!"
She came down at a handful furry fabric, black and orange and white patchwork.
"I used this a coupla years ago. It works amazing. Each square has enough for ears AND a tail, and it's only a buck a yard."

Harriet hadn't been much concerned about price but a bargain is a bargain and Alice was already up on her tip-toes feeling the fuzzy fabric. The child had developed a very strong liking for soft fuzzy items since meeting her friend Fiona and the girl's pets.
"Soooooooooft" the child intoned happily.

"Mmhm!" Nadia laughed, "and you could even be a calico! All spotty. And your sister could be too!" And after that, she showed the pair some good fabrics to keep the skirt poofy and some ribbon for tying. She loved helping people. Hrm...yenno...she should probably check out getting a job here!

Alice bouncedh appily, following Nadia around excitedly. The child just seemed to get along so well with people!
Harriet, on the other hand was getting out bits and pieces of the fabrics and whatnot as they were shown them so he could actually make the costumes when he got home. At least they had some help!

Nadia just laughed and bounced a bit on the balls of her feet when she was finished showing them everything. Hrm. Well, now she definitely had to get to shopping for herself.
"Well, it was nice to meet you, Alice! And...uh. Sir. I should probably get going now."
