I am not a member of this guild but I have a quick question,
every time I join/make a roleplay I get ignored! how can I prevent this from happening?!

one way i have found, and by no means is this the only way, is to insert your character into the current situation if at all possible; and to immediatly attempt a polite interaction with one or more other players. bringing your character into the world in this manner not only brings you to the attention of other players, but also allows them the chance to get a first impression of your style of play.

I apologize for the late response, as I had no Internet for a short while, and when I did get on, to be honest, the self help wasn't a big concern to look at for me at the time.

Now, to your question. how do you not get ignored when you join a role play is the easier question to answer. When you join, PM the person that created the role play, or whoever seems to be in charge. Ask them if you can join. If they say yes, then send them what your thinking for your character. A well thought out role play might have certain needs for a new character joining in. Other characters might not be exceptable. Often times you will need to create an entirely new character for every role play you join, which is why I always suggest having your character's profiles someplace where you can refer back to them, for sometimes you forget all the little details you placed in them.

From there, work with everyone in the role play, read about it and do a little research into the stories back history. If you can understand the world and what has happened so far (probably read the first post or two and the last page or two of the role play) then you can get yourself into the story better. The more you work with them, the more they will work with you. If you have a question, either PM the person you have question about, or ask the lead person of the role play. If need be, ask in an OOC comment within a post, either by writing OOC or placing it in (brackets) or ((double brackets)). (Don't know about OOC? Refer here then: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=6788477 )

As far as making a role play, make it interesting. Write a good description of the world of the role play, with what you expect people to play for characters. Pictures don't hurt, but are optional. Make the beginning sound interesting and keep the first post as an overview of the role play, probably with a catchy line or something. Some lines that might work are like these: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=11969453
See how I describe each role play, presenting each person's options when they join in a quick paragraph? Yet, I also don't give away the whole story? That is what your should probably be aiming for.

Is this helpful to you? My little novel here...

If you mean that nobody even looks at your forum, or tries to join, or ONE person joins and then is offline FOREVER, I get what you're saying.

This has happened to me twice before, and then I made one rp that I really worked hard at making, and I made signs for it and made it look nice, and that one is now full and still going. 4laugh

The thing is, in my opinion, work hard at it even if it takes all day, give it an awesome, attractive name, and make it look nice.
