So yeah, to detract from the seriousness floating all around, I thought I'd post this little gem.
http://www.kaleidoscopereef.com/

It's called Save Kaleidoscope Reef, a game where you rebuild a devastated reef after a garbage barge crashes into it by putting polyps all over the place and feeding them plankton until they grow into maturity.

In my own personal opinion, it's a really fun way to burn some extra time, as well as educate the youngin's about our reefs.

Interestingly enough, the devoloper, TrickySheep, is based in New Zealand, and has released a number of other games with an environmental theme, such as Anika's Odyssey, which is inspired by the scenery of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

But yeah, check it out, it's really fun.

This game is so cute! But I got bored of it on the level where that huge fish keeps coming by, because the plankton only show up about one a minute, so if you feed it to the wrong...polyp, is it called? then you're pretty much screwed until another shows up.
But, thanks for posting it up here, it's really cute and fun! whee

On that level you have to click on the clams, they're at the bottom of the screen.
The clams eject plankton whenever you click on them.
There are a few situations where you have to think a little outside of the box, like the level with the volcano.

Ooh... I don't even think I saw those. Thanks! =D

And on the volcano one, I found that out by accident. I kept wondering, why are all these things dying? and then, woah, look, some plankton! for a while before I figured it out. wink
