The Spiral Song
Once there was a villaged cursed. One year it twisted to the worst. The pattern was the people's foe. It led them to the pond below.
The Spiral winding leads the way, The curse reveals our bond. So let's go walking, you and me Down to Dragonfly Pond
We'll creep along, slow as snails While we recount the deadly tales Of boys who died, deep inside and in the grave, they hop and hide.
The Spiral winding leads the way, terror sealed our bond. So let's go walking, you and me Down to Dragonfly Pond
Obsession hates an indifferent face, It works 'til nothing's left in place. A simple storm, a tiny scar, They twist for you, go far and far
The Spiral winding leads the way, Oh, did we have a bond? So let's go walking, you and me Down to Dragonfly Pond
Art is twisted (nothing's safe) In doctor's words, there is no faith. We're tied together, hand by hand There's no way to leave this land.
The Spiral winding leads the way, What's right and what is wrong? So let's go walking, you and me Down to Dragonfly Pond
The curls in your hair are everywhere. If people saw you, they would stare. There's no more room (we're truly doomed) So we will walk down to our tomb.
The Spiral winding leads the way, Our doom it was our bond So let's go walking, you and me Down to Dragonfly Pond

I wrote this song shortly after reading/watching "Uzumaki", a Japanese horror story about a town that was taken over by spirals. I had never been so profoundly disturbed by a story, so I thought I should give it some kind of homage. The spiral song actually can be sung in a specific way, but I'm no musician, so I don't know how to put the notes. crying Tell me if you think it works well with the story if you can, okay?

Makes me wanna read and watch the Uzumaki now. I've never heard of it but I love horror movies.
I give you props for rhyming and at first the poem seemed redundant but I liked it. Each line seemed almost to short but they made the poem seem to be quick and unsure - in a good way. I liked it.
