"It will only hurt a little, and you'll be tired for a while, but after that you'll have a real family, Hilaire. Two sisters, two brothers, with another brother and sister on the way. And We will be your mother. Doesn't that sound nice, darling?"

Hilaires eyes slowly began to fill with tears. She ran to the demoness and flung her arms around her and began to cry uncontrollably. Someone wanted to love her. They wanted her in their family. They wanted her. "I... don't care about pain...I just want to be loved..."

She smiled, a gentle thing that nevertheless spoke of victory and the screams of the damned. "And you will be." Quickly, easily, the mistress created her gash in the side of Hilaire's face; with her fingertips glowing a bright, nearly neon shade of green, she brushed them over the cut and healed it. "Invidia," she breathed, hushing the girl's tears and holding her close. "Invidia, darling, Our most beloved. We do love you."

The pain in that moment was unlike anything Hilaire had ever felt before. It was horrific and yet glorious. She wanted to scream, but by the time it would have escaped her lips the was gone. She melted into the woman's embrace, wanting to stay for all of eternity. She stopped crying and allowed silence to fill the room.
"Mother, I will do anything for you." Hilaire said with a coo in her voice. This all felt like a dream. A wonderful dream she never wanted to end.

"Don't worry, Invidia," said the mistress sweetly. "We'll never leave you alone."
Lucifuge peeked back in, saw the scene inside, and leaned back out to look at his namesake. "Princeling," he intoned, "It looks like you'll be staying the night."

Lucifer raised a brow. Something had just happened, and it was big. Hil didn't feel the same as she usually did. He liked her the way she was, she always entertained him. Her mortality always gave him a good show. Now she would be different. Perhaps more exciting? Or possibly she would become a bore. Either way, it wouldn't be the same.
What could have gone on that would warrant them staying the night? "I suppose so Sir. But whats going on?"
Hil barely noticed when the demon had peeked in, she was in her own world of joy. Maybe she could stay here forever, and not have to worry about people anymore. Who knows, maybe her love was here and not back home?

The mistress pressed a kiss to the top of Hilaire's head. "Are you tired?" Concern suffused those many voices as she ran her fingers through her newest child's hair. "You should be, darling."
Lucifuge shrugged. "Your summoner just gained a rank above you in Hell," he said with a smirk. "She's one of the Magnificent Seven."

Lucifer would have spit out his drink if he had one. He looked at Lucifuge as if he'd just been hit in the back of the head with a semi. So that was their big plan. But why her? Lucifer had never sensed anything unique about her. However, this was their decision, its not like he could do anything about it anyway. Now he'd have to deal with her really ordering him around. "Great...which is she?"
Hil looked up at the woman and nodded. "I am mother. But I don't want to leave to sleep."

Meanwhile, the mistress had kissed the crown of Hilaire's head again. "You don't have to." She wrapped her arms tighter around the young lady. "We will keep you safe, right here, until you wake up."

Lucifer took in a deep breath. Well, it wasn't the worst, but certainly wasn't the best either.
Hilaire blushed slightly and rested her head once more on the chest of her new mother. It didn't take long for her eyelids to become heavy. She muttered quietly as she drifted into her world of dreams. "Goodnight mother...."
