Well I mean private servers don't have to have 1000x exp. Many serevrs have only 30x the amount of exp.
Private servers are very good though. Imagine you just started playing maple and wanted to know if your going to like that class or not. You have the chance to be every class and try every skill.
As of Bugs many of them have been fixed, just be sure to play servers with v55 instead of v60. v60 Still has bugs.
But overall the community is great and you can make lots of new friends considering the environment is laid back.

There is just one. Noobs
Many people think when they play private servers, they think they're "All that". When they get to lvl 200 in a day and walk around thinking they rule that server. Then they kill stuff and say
"OMGLEWKATMYLEETDMGWTFIMSOPROLELELELELLELEL"
Just gonna have to ignore them I guess. D:
