Ceres wanted to fight off the sleep that overwhelmed her, but after about a week of not sleeping well, she felt for the first time that her unresolved ishues were finaly being made clear.
She knew what the pain was in her chest, and thus didn't think she was imagining things anymore, she defently understood now what her feelings for Soleil ment, and in the proscess, hopefuly could come up with a way to go on with life while still trying to figure out the gray areas of this situation.
The stroking of the lionesses wing on her back made sleep take over her little body.
"If you want to take me back to my family, I do not mind." Ceres said with a smile fighiting the sleep in her body, "They are not far." She looked up at the lioness, "Thank you for helping me....I wish there was something I could do in return for your kindness...any thing you need help with?"

"It's never a problem." She looked down with a smile and brought her wing in for a comforting snuggle before releasing it and getting to her feet. "I'm sure I can overcome my problems, practice makes perfect they always say!" With a gentle chuckle she nuzzled the Ceres and looked about.
"Lead on little one, I'll stay close, though at this time I expect anything mean and nasty is also asleep" Playfully winks and waits for the pup to start leading before following close behind.

Ceres starts to walk, but then turns around to Sandy.
"If I can do anything for you...please don't hesitate to ask..." she said trying to sound awake.
She quickly went up to Sandy and burshed herself around her legs as a thanking hug. Sandy truly was a good friend to her now...she would try to be a good friend back.

"Another time perhaps, we'll see" Sandy was feeling the effects of a long day herself now, her usual smile barely playing on her lips and though she felt the want to giggle it never seemed to come. Leaning down Sandy nuzzled Ceres, a return gesture for her little thank you and also half a nudge towards her family. It wasn't that Sandy hadn't enjoyed talking to the fluff ball this night but they were both getting tired and it was showing, she wanted to get her home and safe before using the rest of her energy to flutter off and find somewhere safe for herself to collapse.

Ceres saw the lioness becoming just, if not already, as tired as herself. With the last nuzzle given back, she walked as fast as she could to her home.
All that time she smiled contently knowing that someday Solel would know her feelings...and that if she hoped, beyond what her little heart could, Soleil would one day return her new found love.
"And please..." she spoke to her heart, "Let all my friends, and my family, find the one their heart belongs to..."

As the two arrived at the little pups home Sandy gave a good bye nod, she dared not whisper at the sight of the three other sleeping pups of Cere's size, It was late and they deserved their sleep besides there where two adult dragons their and she knew she'd not be welcome again should she even make them twitch. With that the lioness trotted off quietly a few feet before taking to the skies to find her sleeping spot for the night, and as she did she replied the conversation of the night.
So Soilei had an admirer, the little red dragon pup Ceres and it wasn't just a little crush that Sandy had often thought she felt for the sunflower lion. No this little dragon had confirmed her feelings and trusted Sandy enough to confide in her, it wasn't Sandy's place to question them or to reveal her own wavering feelings and she felt no right to either. He was after all a free man and they were no more than friends nor did Sandy believe they ever would be when she was truthful to her heart. So the little crush faded, she felt no jealousy and had gained a friend from her late night flight that seemed like a good time to her.
In her conclusion Sandy found her place and landed, swiftly moving in and curling behind the rock, resting her head down and closing her eyes. A good night indeed, she whole heartily hoped she'd meet Ceres again perhaps later on in life of perhaps the next time she met with Soilei she may be there. And with that the lioness drifted off into slumber with the reoccurring thought...
It really was a small Isle Indeed...
