The lioness' ear flicked a bit when she heard Solaris' whisper. She nodded silently in agreement, quietly removing the blue scarf around her neck and placing it on a branch so it wouldn't get muddy. Her pelt had always made hunting difficult, but she always found a way around that setback by being quick and silent. "Yes, it's best to get as close as you can and strike quickly from their blindspot, either directly in front of them or behind. Aim for the juggular or base of the skull for a quick kill. An aerial strike may work best if you can fly quietly." Lamia replied, shifting her pale gaze from the deer to the purple male. He seemed a good hunter, if he proved himself with a well executed kill she might even consider making a proposition to travel together. She liked her solitude, but having someone else around would make things easier.

Solaris agreed with a slight grin; they would defiantly catch a few. He moved away quietly finding a more appropriate place to take off where the deer wouldn't see his bright colors. He moved being thicker trees and flapped his wings to quickly gain some air. Once airborne he flew silently above the trees watching for Lamia behind him.
He hovered silently watching the deer from below, he motioned too Lamia once before diving toward a fairly large deer aiming for the back of its neck. If he caught it well enough he could swing himself around and clamp his jaws on the deer’s throat.

Silently Lamia moved, body as low to the ground as she could keep it as the pair looked for a place to take off. The lioness took a running start before leaping into the air, her wings silent in flight like a barn owls right behind the purple male. She kept an eye on the deer while they hovered in the air before looking at Solaris and seeing his signal.
The pink lioness dove in the opposite direction at an incredibly speed, her wings tucked close against her body. As she neared the earth again her wings snapped open and she landed on the animal's back, lethal white claws penetrating it's chest and sides. The force of her weight alone was enough to nearly brake the bucks spine, and she had to bite fast at the base of it's skull as she knocked it off balance.
The pair flew forward, her jaws clamped tight as they hit the ground. There wasn't any time for the deer to fight for it's life, the rest of the herd scattering at the sudden appearance of the two predators. Lamia was about to move to take another one down before thinking that one was enough for her and killing another would be wasteful, though she didn't know how much Solaris could eat. The lioness looked around to see Solaris had made a kill as well, watching for any sign that he was going to go after another. If he did she would help, though she doubted he needed it; he seemed a skilled hunter indeed.

Got it! He thought clamping his jaws down hard, white claws ripped holes in the hide. The deer struggled and he swung his weight to take down the deer also ripping the throat open and the deer fell to the ground. The rest of the scattered fearing for their lives. He watched as they fled out of his sight, he wouldn't need another one. Solaris let the dead deer fall to the ground it was a fairly large buck; he watched Lamia catch her own, she was quite skillful better than himself.
"Great catch!" he congratulated her though he didn't expect her to respond seeing as she was rather solitary. Dragging the dead buck he brought it over to Lamia, they had more than enough food now.

Solaris' kill was messier than hers, but it was a kill nonetheless. It wasn't as if they were being graded on who had the cleanest kill, though she'd only gotten that way because she'd tried so hard to please her former queen. She never got her approval, and she was starved of it. Now it didn't bother her as much, but the congratulations from the purple male had an unexpected result. The pink lioness knew she made good catches like this often enough to keep her alive, but having someone else acknowledge it felt...good.
Lamia was silent for a few moments, trying to figure out what had just happened before looking down at her kill. Was she really so starved for approval? "...thank you, you made a skillfull kill as well." She replied finally when the purple male had dragged his buck over to her.

Solaris quickly cleaned the gore off his face "My apologies, I'm such a mess." he said in a rather embarrassed manner. "I'm a bit rusty with aerial hunting," He admitted. Lately he'd been fishing for his meals instead of hunting.
"Thank you" he replied with a smile "you finesse is still much better than mine." He set his kill down at her feet “You eat first.” He offered politely. He’d eat whatever was left. Politeness came first especially in front of a lady even though she didn’t seem to think of herself as one.
