In the Twilight series, the vampires are basically frozen, physically, from the time they are bitten, if I understood correctly. So that makes me wonder...does their hair keep growing? It doesn't seem like it would, but having the same hair length/style forever seems extreme; one hair cut, and you can't change it, except make it shorter. o.o

So what do you think?

(Please forgive the randomness of this question...it's something I pondered since I finished the Twilight saga. ^_^; )

I think Meyer has stated that a vampire's hair doesn't grow.

That makes the most sense, honestly. I was just curious to see if anyone thought differently. biggrin

Thanks for answering. ^_^

That would kind of suck..if you're alive for all eternity there has to be one point in time where your hairstyle is no longer fashionable..

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. >.< It wouldn't be so bad if your hair was long 'cause you could always cut it shorter, but then you'd never get that length back. D:

I figure that Rosalie and Alice are masters at styling hair, no matter how it's cut...that way it isn't conspicuous, I guess.

Lol...but you can't really do much with Alice's hair
PostPosted: Tue Sep 02, 2008 7:15 pm

Meyer had once answered why ALice's hair was so short and spiky. When she was hospitalized, they cut all her hair, and by the time she escaped, her hair didn't grow back all the way and then she was changed.

Erm..that wasn't really the question was it? neutral

I was actually wondering about this the other day. xD I assume that if they want to change their hairstyles they could always use hair extensions or whatnot. Since vampires are able to pass as people, their hair has to be like real hair.

That's an interesting tidbit on Alice's hair, too, LilDarkAngel, thanks for posting that. I'd be really interested to see that article!

wow! i never even thought of that.

If you're a vampire, you're going to need to make sure that you have a hairstyle that will always work, no matter what era it is... or else you're going to seem like a wierdo with no sense of fashion or normality

I suppose for girls, the easiest would be long hair. From what I can tell, that seems to always be in style. :3

I think that would be a good thing to not have hair grow.
I mean, girls, could you imagine having to spend the rest of eternity still having to shave your legs? Forever? That would just be annoying. @__@
