It's just that BCRich puts waaaaaay more effort into designing than in sound quality.

They do suck.
yes. the only bc rich guitars i've heard that sound good are the ones kerry king plays. and even they don't sound that great.
Yes, it's not the guitar itself. If you give a BC Rich warlock or BC Rich Virgin to Yngwie Malmsteen he WILL make it sound good.
but not AS good as his strat.

and without a scalloped fretboard, probably nowhere even close to his strat. those scallops allow him to do some crazy stuff you cant normally do with a non-modified guitar

Thats something he said in his instructional video. Anyone seen that?

Oh and what's the difference between double locking floyd rose and normal floyd rose?

... This random blabber was brought to you by IMRTL.

not sure, but stay away from the floyd roses man. seriously, they make it a real b***h when you have to change strings.

Gravechylde
I've always heard that BC Rich suck (unless you get one of the higher end models).

Oh of course. I would never play a BC rich that's under 900 $

I say go for a floyd rose if you tune very low. It sucks tuning back and forth with a floyd rose but seriously...
I have one on my jackson and I LOVE IT. It saves me SO much time in the long run. On my fender I have to tune every time i pick it up, and with my jackson, I can tell you I havent re-tuned it for probably a month and a half now...strings aren't even rusty or anything. Floyd rose made my life, I can stay in B, C, and D tuning without any problems what so ever. Only problem is that yes, restringing takes a probably twice as long, and when you do tune to another note, it does take about 15-25 minutes to get it just right. But on the bright side, I rarely have to tune...I think it has saved me hours of tuning + retuning.

Also, another plus is that it has an easy action...setter? What i mean is that it's really easy to set the action, and i can use my whammy bar to hell on it, and it will still not go out of tune.

IMO, if you don't switch tuning much, I advise getting a floyd rose, but if you switch between like E and C or w/e a lot, then I suggest buying TWO GUITAR WITH FLOYD ROSES razz

Jackson DKM2

Got it for about 500-600 I think...I forget.
It's a great guitar, It feels like a 1000$ guitar. Plus, if you end up wanting to get a better guitar, you can just buy a new neck thanks to the bolt on, and new pickups. But i love the neck AND the pickups. I can play a wide range of tones with these babies. Both seymour duncans, I think they sound a lot the EMGs 81/85, which my brother has on his ibanez. But I'm not quite sure if they have left handed, or one without a floyd rose. But jackson guitars are great, even the cheap ones.
