Nila blushed. "Well, not *very* interesting, but I guess that I am kind of interesting. I hatched on a beach on the west side, in sight and easy flight of the Western Isles, southwest of here, and lived alone. I sometimes fly to the Western Island, when it seems like a good time to do it, and catch fish for my meals when I can't catch anything else. A passing Painter, the first I'd seen in my life, told me about a place where I could learn magic, and it sounded like a good idea, so I flew northeast, until I found out that no new students were being accepted. Since I was away from home already, I decided to explore the rest of the island," she finished with a smile. "Kind of boring, in my opinion, but I guess it's pretty different from most Painters."
"So, Durak, what's your story? What's it like living in Sandpainter Canyon, with so many other Painters nearby?" She had noticed the dirt splotch and said, "Here, do you mind if I rub your back for a bit?" At least she could get the dirt off his lovely back.

Durak smiles," I think it is interesting! I wish I could live on the beach but I can't leave my cliff now." he muses. "Plus I had no ides there was a school? And who are these other painters?" he says with a raised brow and a smile.
Me, not much. I don't have much to do with the others, I just hang here. And well born in the near by village and my parents passed one year. Nothing interesting at all. And it would be my pleasure." he purrs and turns around.

"Maybe we'll live on a beach together someday." She paused and did the Painter equivalent of blushing. "A couple of males I met yesterday morning, passing through the scrub forest, like I was, a yellow one named Florian and a brown one named Kodiak." Finally, she managed to get rid of the patch of dirt on Durak's back and she smiled, scratching his back gently a bit longer so he wouldn't figure out he'd had dirt on his back.

Durak eyes go wide at her idea. He mulls it over in hs head while his quiet smile spreads on his lips. "Ah, What nice names." he comments not pushing. He spreads out quickly when she starts itching. He leans in to it and lets a happy purr. "So a beach aye." he teases.

Nila finished scratching his back and sat back on her haunches. "Would you like to go there, Durak?" she smiles with a light in her eyes. There were so many things she could think of to do that Durak would enjoy, like diving near reefs or in currents. The few Painters Nila had seen in her youth had been Merdracs, which had given her a very strange outlook on the world.

Durak cocks his head," Really? I don't know. I have never been away from my home before. I don't know." He sits back for awhile," I just don't know. I guess I should just go for it." he muses.
