The ancient Mayans predicted the world would end on December 24, 2013 (It might have been 23 I didnt pay too much attention to my teacher lol) What is really scary about this is that the mayans have predicted a lunar eclipse that happened 200 years ago. back in about 1400's which is a 400 year guess... They were 2 seconds off. And this is only a couple days before Christmas
What I'm really getting at here is do you think. from a 3/4's religous 1/4 thinker is that there is something more that we dont know about? Do you think that God really will end the Earth on this day? Do YOU think that Jesus will walk with us as we all see the light of Heaven?

I thought it was 2012. neutral
But yeah, it's something to think about. But the end of the world is much different than a lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses occur in a cycle that is set. It doesn't take forever to predict when the next one will be. But the end of the world? That's a whole other ball game. God has a time set for those things, and they will happen when they happen. But always be watching for the signs of the end times. Christ could come back in four years. Or He could come back in 1004 years from now. Who knows? I wouldn't look to the Mayans for the answer, though. sweatdrop

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father."

God made the universe to be very repetitive. haley's comet comes every 42 years. Earth goes around the sun every 365ish days. A day is always 24 hours. I can predict that in exactly 2000 years it will be 10:25, and I'll most likly be right. or I could predict that God will come back in exactly 2000 years, and I'll most likely be wrong.

The only reason why the people were off by 2 seconds was because they didn't have the technology or the means of accurately telling time. The Earth will end when the sun blows up but humanity isn't going to last that long. If we keep arguing and fighting with each other over who's God is right (including violence) then I'm pretty sure we'd take ourselves out before the Christian God. Just my little prediction.

Quote: The world will not end on 12-21-2012, at least not according to the Maya, who knew about as much about our planet's future demise as Gordon-Michael Scallion, St. Malachy, Edgar Cayce, Zecharia Sitchin,or Nostradamus, namely, nothing. The Maya had zero, zilch, nada, mix bá'al to say about the hoax planet Nibiru or the end of the world. Read the rest of the article
