How would I go about balancing his water influence? and its a very strong affinity to earth. I don't really see a problem with the earth affinity unless he's overly stubborn or materialistic. The way I'd go about balancing the water influence is with fire. So maybe a gemstone or herb associated with fire. He might also try carrying or wearing a piece of iron or gold. Gold is associated with the sun and fire, and iron is associated with the fire element as well. Iron is also associated with the alchemical operation of Separation, which is an Air operation. Hence, iron may help counter raging emotion and maybe help balance any negative effects of the earth affinity. Alchemy studies pay off, apparently. razz He is a bit stubborn and matericalistic, but who isn't these days in this world? Should he do this the whole time or only during the full moon when its at the worse? And would it be okay if I combined a gemstone with the iron? All the time if he thinks it would help. And I don't see any reason why not to combine a gemstone with iron. Just make sure they're complimentary or neutral. I found some iron wire that I figured I could wrap around the gemstone and hang it from a necklance for him. I dragged out my gemstone book and found these... AGATE/TREE COPPER MAGNETITE SUGILITE TOURMALINE/WATERMELON (I think this is the best one) any suggestions? You might look into bloodstone. In general it's not a bad stone to have around and it's associated with fire. It's also considered a combination of opposites as well (because of the red/green contrast). Thank you. And wrapping the bloodstone with iron wire would be fine?

That might be a clue that he needs to back off from the fire element.
