That's not true. Depending on your rating in the navy you could be deployed somewhere dangerous, yeah, but there are a lot more people in the navy that are safe and sound. It's definitely the safest branch. Or second safest, idk about the air force...I don't know anything about the air force I'd just assume they'd die more than those in the navy. o.o Unless fighting occurs at sea like in WWII, not many people die in the navy. Since WWII I don't think there have been any major sea battles.

Not many officers face death, mostly NCO's see combat, naturally Ofiicers are there to guide but they're pretty safe anyway. If you want safety than the Naval Academy is ideal go in a civilan and come out a naval officer with a choice in your career that's not based on the sore you receive on the ASVAB. USNA is where I plan to go after high school, but not for the navy.

Yeah I'd rather do navy than the USNA. I don't really care about safety, though it's a plus. o.o I need to go see a recruiter to see if I'm qaulified, 'cos like my friend was denied for a problem he didn't know about..and I know there's sea/shore rotation but I'd want a rating that would go out to sea a little bit more. Air traffic controller in the navy would be awesome but I'd assume they don't go on the ship much at all...just assume idk really.

Some AC's do that, but some would be in some room on the ship looking at blinking dots and on the radio telling pilots where they can and can't go safely.
