"I met people.. new people that is. Well not people, technically, feien to be more accurate, but the point is that I met them.."

"Yes you met them. Rambling again move on with it." Gallium said tersely as she peered at the side of Valsharess's head. The feien turned a bit to look at her before having her ear tugged and putting her head back in the previous position.

"Yes well I met new feien. I now have acquaintances. Its interesting. I now know more than a couple, more than a few. I think I am making quickly progressive steps towards becoming ...social."

"Drink this." Gallium held out one of the feien's small cups filled with a clear liquid.

"What is it?" Val took the cup and looked in it, sniffing the liquid. It smelled like.. alcohol.

"Vodka."

The striped feien lifted a brow, "Halo said you were to stay away from the alcohol because the last time you.."

"..just drink it. Halo's a ********' sap. It's only one little cup so relax. It'll numb you up pretty good so I can pierce your ears."

"Can't you just do it without numbing me?" Valsharess took a sip of the booze anyway. She'd never had alcohol before! This was rather interesting. The feien coughed as the vodka went down her throat, "Odd.. taste."

"The taste doesn't matter, it's what it does to you.." Gallium gave her a metallic grin before marking a black dot on Val's earlobe. She shifted in front of the feien so she could look at her reflection in the Mendels body.

"Those spots ok?" Gallium pushed her heavy curls from her face and looked at Val, who had continued to drink the vodka, quickly, intent on getting this numbing sensation quickly and not knowing how fast the liquor might go to her head.

"I suppose. They are just dots. That's not the earrings are they? Otherwise I could have done that myself." She smiled, trying to tease the Mendel though humor was not her strong point. She sat her cup down beside her, empty. There was one black dot on her right ear and two in the left, " I think you missed one."

"It's creative freedom. It's original. ******** lay off." Gallium picked up her own small cup of vodka and took a tiny sip. She at least had experience with this sort of thing. ******** lightweights!

"So I met people, as I said, yes. I met Ianios (he said to call him Ian) and Selene one day. They were very nice. Both are adults. I wonder what I will look like as an adult. Do you think I will be tall, Gallium? Hmm I think I may. I don't know my parents though and how tall they were so I suppose it depends"

Gallium didn't respond to her rambling. She was focused on the 'tools' spread out in front of her. There were 3 gold rings, pulled from a gold chain that had been dismantled, a pair of small pliers, and a pin.

"Then I met Neruo and Fifth. Both were boys. In fact I've met a lot of boys.. do you realize? Yes boys are odd. They argued. Fifth was something like you. Rather vulgar and insulting, not that anything is wrong with that Gallium.. It's endearing in you after a while.." The vodka seemed to have floated to Val's head. She was rambling and her nose and cheeks had flushed to a light pink.

"Endearing? What the ******** is that?" The Mendel huffed. "You are ******** drunk. I am so ******** glad I get to stab you with a pin in a minute"

Val giggled a bit at that (DRUNK) and a bit of her bangs fell into her eyes. "Endearing yes, as in something to like as one gets used to it. Fifth is the same colors as me and has the same wings and eyes. His markings are different and he has horns and blue hair. Curly blue hair. Neruo said we might be siblings but we don't look exactly alike.. But his hair is so very bright blue and curly. I touched it to see if it was different than mine.. it was a bit thicker but altogether the same I think. I have never seen hair like that."

"I have curly hair." Gallium snorted and dipped her finger in her vodka before rubbing it coldly on Valsharess's ear. "He has horns though? That's hot. Like a ******** demon. He sounds like my sort of guy." She lined up her pin with the single dot.

"It was different than your hair, shorter and ... bluer." She giggled a bit again. "It's very warm in here Gallium. Yes he had horns. Horns would be odd to have. I wonder if he has to fight with other males with his horns over females when he wants to mate.." The thought of Fifth bashing heads with another feien boy made her giggle slightly again.

Gallium jabbed her pin right through Val's earlobe, firmly, a little hard, but fast.

"Ow!" Val pursed her lips, "Was that it?"

"I have to do it twice more."

"Hrrmmpph." Val crossed her arms, a bit more emotional with some booze in her, though still not on the same emotional level as a normal person. Her ever calm persona seemed to melt away just slightly.

"I think I should go back to meet more people. Fifth seemed to know a lot about feien. Neruo is very orange and he has feathery wings! Rather exciting. Feathers! He gave me one. It's by my bed."

"I saw. Really ******** bright. I hate orange. And red. And Pink. But not like your red.. like bright NEON red." The Mendel pushed the pin fully through, following it with a small gold hoop. It was perfect size for a feien earlobe. Once it was through she picked up her pliers and squeezed the hoop fully closed.

"Oh I wooonder why, shiny gally-pants." Val giggled slightly again. "It wouldn't be because of Neon-shmeon. Light bulb with vengeance." It felt odd having a ring in her ear. She touched it lightly and it stung. She wasn't used to the weight of it.

"Shut the ******** up. Remind me never to give you booze again. You get more annoying." Gallium moved to the other side and rubbed alcohol on that earlobe.

"Never give me alcohol ever again." Valsharess giggled and rubbed her nose even though she sort of couldn't feel it. "Neruo mentioned someone named Yanvir. I wonder who he is. Is he another feien? Perhaps he is super powerful and magical. Gandalf. Dumbledore! Dumbledore would be lovely. Perhaps he'll give you candy if you go."

Gallium rolled her eyes and prepared her pin, shoving it through another marked dot.

"Ow!" Valsharess looked out of the corner of her eyes and saw the end of the needle extending some distance from her ear. "I think I should go explore the labs more. Explore and adventure and have excitement. Yes indeed, indeed." She fell into a contemplative silence as the ring was slid through that hole as well and then closed. The weight on her ears felt evenly distributed now, though she knew that it would be disrupted as soon as the last ring was put through. "Like Indiana Jones! Except without almost being killed by Indians. Are there Indian feien? Do we have races? Is there discrimination?" Her thoughts just burst out in a rambled sentence and then she fell silent again.

"So ******** random.." Gallium muttered before jabbing the pin through the remaining hole. She did the same as the others, ignoring the feien's short exclamation of pain ("OW!"), and slid a gold hoop through the fresh pin wound before closing it.

"All done."

"Hrrrmm?" Val blinked at Gallium glassy-eyed, thoughts disrupted by the Mendel. "OH. Hee. I want to see." She rose to her feet and looked at her reflection in Gallium's waist. She shook her head a bit from side to side, watching the hoops jingle and ignoring the stings she got.

"I think I like them!" She shook her head again, got momentarily dizzy, and fell right into Gallium, coating herself in the Mendels silver ooze.

Val erupted into drunken giggles, "Heheheheeee! I feel on you! Goopy gloppy Gally! Shiny Mendel pants got all over me! Eww!" She stumbled up and tried to wipe her hands on her sides, only leaving silver ******** kids.." Gallium ignored the string of nicknames that Val kept spouting, which turned into random statements that made no sense to her, and started to lead the feien to her bed.

"Sleep it off..."

Halo stepped into Gallium and Valsharess’s room with a sprig of evergreen in her hand, “Hello??”

From their separate corners of the room, there were two responses, a disgruntled ‘WHAT?’ and a ‘HELLO!!’

Halo chuckled and stepped further in, careful not to step on the various pieces of paper covered in black scrawling. “We’re decorating the Christmas tree downstairs and we had to trim it a bit so I saved a piece for you guys and thought you could have your own tree.” She held the sprig up in the air to show them. She’d shoved a square of foam on the bottom so it could stand.

“I don’t want a ******** Jesus tree..” Gallium huffed and walked over to the tree as Halo set it down. It was twice her height.

Valsharess looked at the shiny Mendel and chuckled, “Silly Gallium. Silly willy. Yes. Thank you guardian Halo. We shall decorate it! It will be splendid, amazing, astounding, sensational, awesome!”

Halo chuckled. “Well let me know if you hate it.. I’ll come by and get rid of it for you. OH.. and here..” She pulled out a tiny necklace made of string and fake Christmas lights. It was one of those necklaces you bought at like the dollar store. They’d been wearing them to decorate to get in the Christmas spirit but as always the bag had too many. Halo set it down on the floor and waved to the girls before taking her leave.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gallium looked at Valsharess, “Dude.. Christmas thing? That’s all you.” She snorted and went back to her Doc Marten boot-bed to keep drawing.

Valsharess looked at the Mendel and then the tree. She picked up the fake light necklace and bit through the string before hovering around and draping them over the needles.

She didn’t know what else to decorate with so she sat back and smiled. “Decorated!”

Gallium, ever the artist and critic, poked her head from the boot and snorted, “That’s so LAME. So wrong.” And without further ado she drew a gothic tribal snowflake on a piece of paper, pulled out her dagger, cut it out, and hopped up to put it on the tree.

“Listen, Val, when it comes to design.. YOU SUCK. I am the queen. Here.. I’m only decorating so you don’t have this hideous tree in our room.”

And so they sat.. with paper.. a dagger.. and Gallium’s markers.. and they made Christmas decorations enough to cover the tree.

Even Mendels and Feien Have Christmas too!

Secret Santa Mission - 1

---------------------------------------------

It started as a piece of paper.

“LOOK. Oh look look Hmmm It is so interesting.” Valsharess waved the paper in front of Halo’s face and smirked. “See this paper? Halo do you see it? See it you do.. On this paper.. on this slip of parchment.. there is a… name.”

Halo simply looked at the feien and lifted her brows. “Oooohhh.. a name. So?” She continued to change Otium’s diaper on the changing table in front of her. The monochrome baby was watching the brightly colored feien hover around in front of his mother’s face.

“The name has a meaning.. Indeed it does. A meaning. It is almost like a code. Well not quite… But it is more than what it seems…”

“Babbling again, Val.” Halo chuckled and looked at the feien girl ponder the meaning on the paper.

“Hrrm. It is what they call a ‘Secret Santa’. Though it ends up not being much of a secret at all because you reveal yourself. And indeed you are not Santa because that man is large and fat and jolly and I am none of those things… though I may be jolly on some occasions but not to the extent that Father Christmas is.. That is another name for him, did you know? Father Christmas, Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Papa Noel.. But as you see I am not him… So indeed it is not what it seems… But…”

“So you are in a Secret Santa and you have to give the person on that paper a gift?”

Val’s mouth remained open mid sentence as he guardian said what she meant so bluntly, “Well yes. Do you know who it is, hmmm?”

“….No. You haven’t told me yet.” Halo tilted her head to the side and looked at the feien while sitting up the newly changed Otium on the table.

Val waited a moment. “Well…” She let the pause drag out, “..it’s…” Valsharess smirked and continued to hold the silence, “Indra!” She said the name loudly and proudly and flipped the paper to show Halo the name.

Halo just stared at the paper and feigned shock, “INDRA? INDRA!...... …….” And then she just snorted, “Who’s that?”

Val blinked at Halo blankly, “He is a feien of course. It is a feien Secret Santa. I have done a bit of research, back story work as it were. He is grey and he has long shiny hair and he is a Steam feien. So I hear. So now all I need to do is get him a gift.”

“Buy him something grey?” Halo hefted Otium up onto her hip and the little boy swiped a hand at Valsharess hovering around. She easily darted from the little boy’s grip.

“That would be too quick and easy and what if he doesn’t like it? OH NO.. Halo.. You underestimate me! I will MAKE SOMETHING.” She puffed herself up a bit and smiled. Halo wasn’t sure she’d seen the feien so interested in doing something before. She seemed to enjoy having a purpose.

“Well as long as you know.. that’s all that matters right? Always do what you want to do.” Halo lifted a hand and patted Val on her little red head. “Any idea what you will make?”

“YES!” Val pronounced proudly, though not as much excited as determined. “I will make him a hair care set! He has long silver-grey hair. Very nice and shiny. But it cannot be shiny like that all the time.. Suppose something happens! Suppose he gets dirty or it gets knotted? Ohohoho.. He will need to take care of it. Not an east task when we are so small.. oh now. We hardly have lots of hair supplies around. I will make him a hair brush and a comb.. and I will go on the internet contraption and find out how to make shampoo! Because as Gallium says, the internet can teach you how to make anything… “ She fluttered back and forth, arms clasped behind her back much like a military general dictating a battle plan.

Halo was surprised how much Val had already worked out about it. “Well…” She was unsure what to say. “Christmas is soon.. shouldn’t you be getting to work?”

The striped feien looked at her guardian and blinked, “Hmm? Oh.. OH.. You are right! I shall start right now!!”

(( Compiled Shop RP from January 30 ))

TarnishedHalo

Val hadn't been to the shop to meet new people in a while and she'd heard that there were many new comers she should meet. She'd enjoyed her holiday craftiness and also thought she might find more people to make things for.. or she could collect materials to use.

The juvenile feien hovered into the shop with her hands clasped behind her back. Her eyes were wide and attentive as usual and she wore the usual calm smile. Her tiny gold earrings jingled slightly as she craned her head to see all that were currently in the shop.

WOW.

Quite a few!

Valora Voldemort

A darkness feien entered the shop curiously, after she had not returned in quite some time. Last had been in hopes of seeing Arith, but that did not occur and she doubted it would this time. However, this could be good since she was on a mission. Rislin had disappeared sometime mid-day yesterday and did not return. In worry the young juvenile might be in trouble, Semella had convinced Shux that they should go in search of her, because after all, she was still so small.

'How do we know that she's here? Honestly, she's getting on my last nerve.' Shux ranted more to herself. The time feien's behaviour counteracted her own feelings so often that she began to wonder if she should even keep contact with the young feien.

Semella frowned after following her companion into the shop. She was more sympathetic to Rislin's behaviour, even though she herself could not remember being a juvenile at all. With a clawed finger twisting a bit of violet hair she spoke: 'Hisa, you need to work out these issues you have with Rizzy. A rift in the household will only being more disasters later.'

Shiro Ookami
Patience heard talking, and turned. There was a few more feiens enterering the shop. Today was such a good day. One of the feiens looked familiar, but she coulnd't tell. She had meet Shux before, but never saw her aftr she had grown up. Patience turned and greeted the new people entering.

"Hello all. Nice Night we are having."

karma_k
Talon's yellow eyes crawled over the slight assortment of weaponry the shop had to offer. There were more rapiers just like the one he'd had in a variety of colors, bee stingers, pebbles, a spear...but none of them struck a chord in him....the spear seemed like a better bet than the rapier since it had much more room to grip it (and with his strange finger placement, that was a definite plus), but he imagined his lack of speed would make weilding it a clumsy operation at best.

He scooped up one of the pebbles from a box on the counter and hefted it in his palm a few times, testing its weight. He imagined he could likely throw one a great distance if he tried with the force he could put behind it. The problem with pebbles, though, was once you threw one, it was lost and you were left without a weapon.

Instead, he narrowed his eyes, his hand enveloping itself in a white glow as the pebble cupped in his palm began to sag and grow soft. Idly, he began to fashion the pebble into a conical point, much like the bee stingers, just to see if he was able.

Hearing a faint but rather noticeable jingling, he looked briefly over his shoulder at the newcomer and then back to the case again. No one he recognized.

In turning back, he entirely missed Semella and Shux's arrival.

Rynn
Ianios looked up from the bowl which in rested Leafy when he heard two new voices. More and more feien seemed to be heading in. He smirked. "Greetings!" he called out to all the newcomers. He looked them all over, trying to remember if he had met all of these. Honestly, he couldn't recall.

Valora Voldemort
Shux turned her attention to the feien who had greeted herself and Semella. The markings were familiar. 'Hello. Quite indeed a lovely evening.' The closer she walked to the feien, the more she realized where she had seen her. 'Patience?' She began laughing, considering the last time they had their incounter, Shux still had a fear of crowds.

Semella followed closely, but only smiled softly.

karma_k
Talon cringed a bit at Ian's shout of greetings and looked silently in his direction, lowering the white shroud his wings had been providing him. Something about the green feien stirred recognition in him but...for the life of him, he couldn't place it.

If he'd met him, it had been long ago, back when he was a child and used to frequent the shop much more. He...

And then it clicked. Oh yes....Ianios, often accompanied by Aria, the first two feien he'd ever met. Though, Ian had been a child last he'd seen him....which was forever ago.

He nodded in greeting to the blue-eyed feien and remained where he was. Merging had made him noticeably more polite in the presense of others, but it still hadn't done much for his social skills

Shiro Ookami
The other adult feien aprouching her was laughing, this confused Patience very much. She was trying to figure out who this was. Obviously she knew who she was. Then again Patience had not met many Feiens, so it didn't take to long to remember the darker feien.

"Shux? Is that you? You certainly have grown up. Nice to see you again, but why are you laughing?"

TarnishedHalo
Val saw Ian and smiled, waving her hand a bit. She hovered over to his place and stopped beside him. "Hello Ian. I have not seen you in a while. Of course I was in no position to see you as I was nowhere that you would be, but that is besides the point. How do you find yourself these days? Of course I meant in the sense of how you are feeling and the like.. not as if you would be missing....."

She paused when she realized she had babbled. She looked at the others and only noticed Semella whom she knew. "Hello Semella! We met once. Do you remember me?"

Valora Voldemort
The darkness feien's laughter had quieted down as she began to explain herself. 'Just memories really. I haven't been to the shop much since I was a youth.'

'Cause of me and Rizzy no doubt.' Semella interupted, but quieted herself after.

Shux frowned at the anicent for being inconsiderate. 'As I was saying...When I first met you, you were yelling your head off at Tosten, I believe for scaring the wits out of me. So much different now from then.' She sighed at the thoughts of it all. With a small grin, realization of her own rudeness sunk in. 'Oh, I must appologize. This is Semella. She is a flatmate of mine.'

Reaching a clawed hand to shake, the anicent spoke: 'Evening.'

Rynn
Ian waved to Talon, then smiled when he saw Val. "Hey Val! I'm doing great, yourself?" He smirked when her attention was taken by the anicent. That one was an interesting one.

He looked to Leafy, smiling. "You'll get to enjoy this one day as well," he whispered, smiling, touching the leaf.

Shiro Ookami
A grin played slowly, as if crawling, across Patience face as she recalled the scene. The she too laughed.

"I see your point. It's good that your not so shy anymore. Meeting people is good. I actually met alot of feiens just today. It's been a good day. I first Met Hitomi, then Ian came along, we ran into a rather strange lady who was the new owner of one of Ian's breeding, Aparently a spikey bloom, And I also met the owner of the leaf bloom sitting here. Now you guys come in and there are more people to meet still. Today has been a busy but good day. I never meet so many Feien in one day.

Patience said to Shux. She also took a bow towards Semella as a greeting.

"Hello, my name is Patience."

She said it loud enough that even the feien on the high counter could hear her, but not loud to seem she was yelling. Just loud enough.

karma_k
As more feien arrived, Talon realized just how far out of the loop he'd been. Aside from Ian, he wasn't sure he recognized any of these feien...

Well, that's what he got for essentially living under a rock, wasn't it? He hesitated a moment more and then hovered toward the others. He clearly wasn't going to find what he was looking for here, and wasn't especially inclined to go home just yet.

Landing a short distance away from the throng of conversing feien, he stood by with intent to observe. It didn't occur to him that the one nearest to him was his long-ago declared mortal enemy. Then again, Shux hadn't been taller than him last he'd seen her either.

Valora Voldemort
Semella's ears twitched as she heard her name be called. She had not know many feiens herself, so she was curious to see which one of the few were in the shop. A juvenile had called her name. 'Hello.' she called in return to give time to place her.

Leaning into Shux she whispered. 'I think this is a friend of Rizzy's. Do you think she could know where Rizzy is?'

Shux quirked an eyebrow. 'Possible. Call he over.'

Val. That's her name. Like their owner. How could she not remember it sooner? The anicent waved at Val in hopes of enticing her over.

Rynn
Ian glanced over, seeing Talon land down where they were. He blinked, taking in his appearance. Seemed the dragonfeien had merged with a gemstone. He wondered if that would happen with him, if he had ever gotten a chance to merge with Cel's. But that wasn't meant to be.

"Talon, come over and met the leaf Aria and I helped create." He didn't want Talonfaust to feel left out.

TarnishedHalo
Val turned back to Ian and tilted her head. She'd taken to making head movements so her earrings would jingle. Sort of like when someone started to play with a tongue ring when they got one. She had two earrings in one ear and only one in the other.

"I am well. In terms of health. Mentally I am the same as usual. That is what you wanted to know, correct? I never know how to respond. Not much exciting has happened. There is a new feien in my house with me so now I have a feien companion around like you do."

Shiro Ookami
Everyone but her had someone to talk to, so Patience wandered the counter a bit, looking at the items for a bit. She'll just wait for an oppertunity to make conversation. She didn't want to go home just yet. Not when there was this many Feiens here. But she didn't want to push herself on people. So she wandered a bit.

Rynn
Ian smiled at Val. "Yeah, that's what I wanted to know." He liked her, she was outgoing, spoke her mind. "Congrats on having another feien around! Come see the leaf. Aria and I helped bring this new one to life!" Boy...he was getting excited now! So many to show his kid off too!

karma_k
For a moment, Talon remained where he was as though he'd not heard Ian, and then moved forward. As he neared, he examined the blue black-edged leaf, cocking his head slightly. He supposed he shouldn't be offput...considering he and Tahki had made a mushroom, after all.

"Congratulations." he said quietly, nodding his head once. "It looks to take after Aria." He looked down at the now pencilpoint-shaped pebble clutched in his six-fingered hand and let it drop to the counter at his side, having lost interest in it.

TarnishedHalo
"You made it?" Val opened her mouth wide. "Interesting! feien reproduction! I have never seen a second generation bloom.. or leaf, rather." She looked over at Semella and Shux and waved them over. She didn't know Shux but since Semella was nice then her friend was probably fine as well.

The juvenile also looked up at Talon. "Hello sir. You are an adult. I am Valsharess, a juvenile. We have not met. It is a pleasure to meet you... though I do not derive any pleasure out of it personally, I am told that it is common courtesy to say so." She smiled. "Not to say that meeting you displeases me at all, I am rather neutral on the feeling."

Rynn
The green feien looked to Talon. Had the merging mellowed him out? It seemed too. Maybe he was uncomfortable with everyone about. "Thank you," he said, giving the other adult a small smile.

There were so many feien about now. Seeing Patience off alone, he waved her over. "Come on, come meet and greet!"

karma_k
Talon blinked, realizing the juvenile was addressing him and quirked a brow as she spoke. She sounded like an automated pre-recorded message like the ones he'd dealt with when trying to figure out how to work a calling card in Europe.

When she finished, he nodded to her, though the brow remained quirked in slight confusion. "Nice.....to meet you too." he said, sounding uncertain. Good gods, and he'd thought Irisa could get technical in normal conversation. "My name is Talonfaust."

It occurred to him that this was the most social he'd been in a long while, such as it was. He supposed taking a long nap and spending a good portion of the evening in Yeande's presense had had something to do with it. Hell, if smiling were habit for him, he'd be the happiest idiot of the bunch right now...instead, however, his face remained carefully blank and mellow.

Shiro Ookami
Patience looked up and saw Ian calling her over. Well, she could always meet people through someone, and Ian seemed to know the other adult and the younger feien there, so she might as well use him to meet them. Have him impose, rather then her do it herself. So she wandered over to Ian.

"Greet? I guess so. Hello. My name is Patience, nice to meet you."

She gave a polight nod and bow to both Talon and Val.

Valora Voldemort
'Hmm...no go. We can go to her.' Semella whispered back at Shux.

'Then go we shall.' Shux strolled past the ancient and went to greet the juvenile properly. 'Hello. Forgive me. My companion here tells me that you are aqaintences with our Rizzy. Is this true?' Oddly straight to the point for Shux, but it seems she does not feel like pracing around the issue they were there for.

Semella gave a nervous laugh to herself as she watched Shux' forwardness. Perhaps she would have in to settle matters between her flatmates.

Sarabi Adruenna

Hitomi climbed in through an open window and peered out behind herself. She had now succesfully snuck out of the house for the first time. She had accidnetly awoken the Lunar Sprocket on her way out, but she had managed to lose it hopefully.

She turned to the shop to see if anyone was still here. Not only were Ian and Patience still here, but so were 4 others! She blinked a few times. She had never seen so many Feien in one place in so many times. For the first time in her life she didn't seem so eager to go over and start beign social. There were SO many. She frowned a bit before fluttering to a place that was just a bit closer.

TarnishedHalo
Valsharess's smile always remained the same, placid and calm. It was almost as if thats how her face always remained and was her natural expression instead of one to express pleasure.

"Talonfaust." She repeated it again and then said something under her breath. She did that a lot.

"You are an adult. I have never seen an adult like you." She hovered up a bit, her hands clasped behind her back again. "You are interesting to look at. I am told it is rude to stare and poke though. I used to do that when I was younger. I shall not subject you unless you approve." She hovered around him again and then lowered, "Green.. green.." she muttered pleasantly to herself as if it were no consequence to anyone else.

When Patience arrived and introduced herself, Val's expression remained unchanged. "Hello Patience. I am Valsharess. You both may call me Val if the nickname suits your tastes. I will not be one to assume what your tastes may be just from meeting you."

Of course in a moment her attention was pulled to the adult with Semella and she just looked at her and hovered. "Rizzy? I am not aware of who this Rizzy is.."

Valsharess looked to Semella, a tad puzzled, and then to Shux. "Unless of course that is a nickname for Rislin. But I have not seen her I am afraid. Have you lost her? Or has she lost herself? That would be a dreadful thing to lose yourself I think. You might be lost in the couch cushions and never even realize you were right under your own nose!"

Val is an odd one, if no one had yet noticed.

karma_k
"Hello, Patience." Talon greeted. He really was not used to giving out this many greetings and could feel a distant throbbing in his temples that threatened to become a headache if he pushed it much more. For the moment, he ignored it. "My name is Talon."

He felt like a parrot, giving his name over and over again...he supposed it really wasn't any of their fault, though.

Rynn
Ian decided he's attempt to make conversion. "Did the merging hurt?" he asked Talon? He had a feeling it did, but Talon would know for sure. He did look interesting, with the oddly placed fingers. One would have to get use to that, he knew. And with the horns, well, the weight, if there was any, that would take some getting use too as well.

Shiro Ookami
Patience Nodded in responce to Val and made note of her name in her head. So amny people she met today. And now she was introduced to another adult. He certainly looked odd, but the mention of Merging made sense. She had seen one of the others who had melded, Yeande. She also made a nod to Talon, though he looked as if he was having a headache. With Shiro having a cronic mirane, Patience was well knowlages in the tel signs of when someone had one, or when was getting one. Her attention was distracted for a second when Hitomi had come back, she gave her a wave before Patience walked closer to Talon.

"Your head hurting you?"

She said softly, in a kind and concerned voice. Though trying to keep it low enough to not have others notice her question.

Valora Voldemort
Shux smiled faintly at the juvenile. At least she knew the point she was headed for. 'Yes, forgive me. Rislin. She is a flatmate of mine and Semella. She has once again left without giving word of where she is headed. We worry for her safety.' But she grew confused about how to answer the rest of Val's statement.

Semella crossed her arms as Val spewed her response to Shux' questioning. 'I dount she had gotten lost within couch cushions. I have yet to find a couch in the manor, yet I cannot say I have been everywhere within it's walls. But perhaps we shall tell out owner to check them if she does not appear soon.'

Shux' attention however turned to an oddly familiar voice. Well more the name that was spoken. Talon. Another feien she had met once. Leaving Semella behind to talk to the young juvenile, she went to greet him. 'Well I never imagined this was how you were to turn out. But then again I never imagined to be stuck with two other feiens within my household.'

karma_k
Talon's head turned in Ian's direction and he nodded. "Yes. It hurt like nothing else." he informed the plant feien. "In fact, I can easily say its the worst physical pain I've ever felt in my life." Saying so, he arched his back a bit to pop it, his muscles rippling beneath his skin as he did so.

"But I won't lie to you, it was well-worth the pain." he added, straightening again.

karma_k
He'd no sooner finished talking to Ian than someone else was approaching him. He looked at the taller female with idle curiousity, wondering who she was for a moment before recognition dawned on him. The markings, the red eyes, the white hair.

"Shux." he said moreso to himself than to her. The long-buried childhood grudge instantly tried to rear its head and he impatiently swatted it down within him.

"You look to be doing well for yourself." he said, nodding once to her. "How long has it been? Half a year at least..."

TarnishedHalo
Val nodded at Semella and smiled a bit more. At least she didn't seem puzzled. Most usually were. or they lost interest.

"Oh yes. Couches are dangerous things for feien. I hear they devour small things and only give them back if you wrestle them into submission or if humans shove their appendages into the various orifices of the couch. Of course they do not breathe, I have cheked, so I am not sure if they are really alive." Val idly reached up and tugged on one of her own earrings.

"I do hope that Rislin was not devoured by a couch.. or at least has not lost herself. Even if we do not know where she is, I hope she knows where herself is otherwise she would be severely inconvenienced. If I see here I will let you know Semella. Well at least as best I can. I can't guarantee immediate response because the travelling from where I am to where you are will take time.. of course and I may need to do a few errands..." She grew silent a moment and thought about something, as if her ramble continued in her own head. "Yes." She smiled up at the ancient. "If I see her I will inform you as fast as I can."

Shiro Ookami
Aparently her question fell upon deaf ears as Shux aprouched. There was just something in the air that Patience was getting a vibe. AS much as she wanted to leave the two alone in their conversation, something told her otherwise. So she just watched.

Rynn
Ian nodded. Well, if he had Cel's gemstone, if he could not bring him back, he'd merge with it. As for pain....well, pain passed. "I daresay, you look wonderful. The smaller horns along side remind me of dragon horns." He wasn't sure if Talon still thought he was a dragon trapped in a feien body, but the those horns suited him.

Rynn entered the shop, looking around. So many feien! She smiled, spying Ian talking to one she semi recognized. Walking closer, softly, she smiled. "Greetings, Talon. You have changed considerately. I admit, I like it." She tuned to Ian. "Ianios, it's late. Lets go home."

Ianios nodded, then gestured to the bowl. "I think your friend forgot this." Inside was the leaf, just floating there.

Rynn nodded, picking up the bowl. "We'll drop this off at his house, then head home."

Ian turned back to Talon and Patience. "Goodnight." He waved to Val, Shux, and Semella. "Goodnight!"
He flew up and landed in Rynn's jacket pocket, looking at her. "Remind me to get onto you about the blooms!" he was saying as she walked out.

Valora Voldemort
'Easily.' She agreed in a smooth tone. Idly running a finger over the back of her hand, she curiously looked over the odd marking that Talon had now taken. 'Do my ears decieve me in hearing that you have -merged- with a gem stone?' Her head slighly cocked, she grew interested in this subject. Although she doubted that Semella would agree to it at all. But for now including Semella into the converstation was out of the question.

But then again, Semella was being bombared by the juvenile she was currently speaking to. Lots of information wizzed passed her ears, so the ancient tried her best in answering the questions she did catch. 'Couches are furniture and can't possibly be alive. Well, at least I do not know any cases where such a thing has taken place. Not only would feiens have something to fear, but small pets and quite possibly humans as well. What would stop them from attacking anything that came their way? Still illogical if you ask me.'

karma_k
Talon watched Shux warily, the way a handler might watch a cobra that may or may not strike at any moment, but answered her question. "You heard correctly." he nodded. "And as I told Ianios, its a very painful process. But the results are permanent, and the power it grants is well worth going through it."

He crossed his arms over his chest as he spoke, seeming unaware he was even doing it as his wings fidgeted just slightly on his shoulders.

Shiro Ookami
Patience waved to Ian as he left and then resumed being close enough to hear what was being said between Talon and Shux. And do do somehting about it if anythign did happen. Plus she herself was curious about how gemstones worked. But she knew one thing, you could never breed if you did merge.

TarnishedHalo
"Oh completely illogical." Val smiled. "I'm glad we agree."

Val had said nothing, in fact, to show she had a similar view as Semella but with her statement and the sure nod of her head, she knew and thought that they had agreed on something. Perhaps that she was illogical, not just her statement.

She waved to Ian as he left and as Rynn left with him she saw a familiar glint of glasses.

Halo stepped into the shop with a monochrome little boy propped on her hip and a bear-cat draped over her shoulder. The woman's spiked collar was being played with by the little boy who turned his attention on the room of colorful faeries silently.

"Val you ready?"

The juvenile nodded and hovered once again. "Farewell Semella.. My bond and her son are here to get me. Perhaps I will see you soon. I hope you find Rislin soon so that you won't worry about her anymore."

Halo was fixing the little boy's large tophat when Val settled on the brim of it. "Farewell all!" She waved to all those she had just met. "Have pleasant evenings spent in whatever fashion pleases each of you the most."

Halo rolled her eyes and just carried them all out the door.

THREE THREE TWO OH OH FOUR

Quote:

This is a computer. Type tap type. Interesting!

I do not use this much but Gallium, Gally, shiny-thing is on all the time. She said I should use it to fnd out about magic. I told her I don't think feien magic will be on the intraweb-net-world wide spider thing. She insisted.

So I look for magic and I find a lot about Harry Potter! I like those books. Very fun and interesting. Perhaps I should look into those about magic.

I want to use my powers but I don't know what they do yet. Gallium think I will be able to blow things up but I doubt it. Maybe it comes naturally? Magic appears here and there when it wants to. Unpredictable. Like the weather.

Halo says the weather men predict everything and that way if they are wrong they’ll have covered all the bases already. Weather men never look at the map behind them. Computers, Gallium said.

Maybe she made my magic retarded when she pierced my ears. WHAT IF THAT IS IT?

Of course not. Never, no, never. It couldn't be that easy. Maybe I should ask Kojak? Maybe he knows about magic. He is younger than me but he seems to act like he knows a lot.

I think Gallium wants to pierce him too. She eyes his ears like a rhino before charging, a lion and it's prey, a teacher and an apple -- No maybe not that.

Kojak is nice. He won't let me touch his hair though. I just wanted to feel it. It is a different texture than mine. And he has a tail!

I like this journal thing. Maybe I will post some other time. Type tap Type. The noise is funny but it makes me tired. It's very slow going!

MAGIC MAGIC! MUST LEARN!

TarnishedHalo

Valsharess bobbed in the air and hummed a little tune. Her hands were clasped behind her back as usual and she hovered here and there with the tune of her song. It wasn't anything familiar and she may in fact have just made it up herself. She bopped her little head as well and her red hair bobbed here and there and her earrings jingled. She was in a fairly good mood and felt like perhaps she might share it.. of course that is if others wanted it to be shared.. otherwise she really did not care one way or other.

Val wiggled her tiny toes as she made her way to where she saw a few feien gathered. She wasn't sure if any of them were familiar to her at all but it looked like a few adults and some her own age.

Wasabineko
At that he had to blink. He had never anticipated the things would progress so quickly... so simple. However he recovered long before anything could be seen as amiss. "My name is Indra. I've been around for some time, just not... around."

His long ears were beginning to pick up snippets of the conversation that had been in progress before he arrived. He sensed that it wasn't rolling towards a favorable conclusion. He made note of this and continued the introduction at hand. "And you, miss?"

kamtrouble

"You know me?" Sunil said, scowling again. "Whatever."

Sunil tossed the glasses up in the air a little and then caught them again, watching Simon.

"Then why have them on right now? I don't see you doing any reading."

Zero Dream
"Ryuusei, and pleased to meet you." She smilled, but that smile faded as she eyed Simon and Sunil. It didn't seem like this would end well, she also had that thought... And her common sence told her not to get mixed up into it. If she did, it was likely she couldn't get out of the mess.

"I don't come around a whole lot either... mostly because of the snow and the cold. There was a snowstorm where I live some time ago, it got so bad that you couldn't even see outside. Everything was just white."

RikProwley
"I've been updating the shop board," said Simon. He wasn't so easily shaken after his recent bath. Furthermore, the goal of "retrieve glasses" had given his mind a remarkable clarity.

kamtrouble
Sunil couldn't argue with that, obviously one needed to read in order to write. She had a feeling though that he was trying to trick her. Which was probably just because she liked flipping the glasses around in her hand.

"But you aren't doing anything involving reading now are you? Why don't you just let me borrow them for a little bit. I think they'd look good on me."

Sunil flipped the glasses up and held them in front of her face so she could look at Simon through them.

RikProwley
Unfortunately for Sunil, this had the effect of massively distorting everything in view. It was also unfortunate for Simon: anyone with a passing knowledge of glasses could tell the prescription on these was strong, if the thickness of the lenses wasn't clue enough.

"They barely fit you," commented Simon, as if he could see Sunil quite clearly. He was right, though. The nose was a bit too narrow and the frames a bit too wide. He crossed his arms and frowned at her expectantly. "If you don't mind, I have to get back to work on the board. The genetics need revising."

TarnishedHalo
Val made her musical-bobbing way over, first, to some adults that seemed to be having a discussion. In her own way she seemed oblivious that it was an argument.. or at least that was how it appeared. it may in reality have been that she really paid it no mind. She watched them from above, hovering here and there, still humming while while they talked and bopping her head and wiggling her toes.

She didn't know either of them, that she could remember, but the female was holding what looked like glasses. She didn't know that feien wore glasses! How fascinating!

"Hello feien adults." She said plainly with a polite smile on her face. "I couldn't help but notice those glasses. How interesting."

Valsharess buzzed around Sunil's head in a quick circle before she neatly plucked them out of the elder's hand and looked at them, drifting back up intot he air. She wasn't being deliberately rude. She just.. had her own way about her.

The tiny juvenile peered at the spectacles before putting them on herself. They were much too big and made her look bug eyed (and did her eyes cross a little?)

"Oo. Glasses. Spectacles. I must look one at this moment. You are distorted. Very strong. Strong indeed." She smiled and pulled them off, blinking to adjust her eyes again.

kamtrouble
"What the hell?" Sunil said in protest, as the glasses were neatly plucked away from her by some strange juvenile. "That is so rude to steal someone's glasses like that!"

RikProwley
Simon couldn't see Valsharess's polite smile, nor could he make out her retrieval of his glasses, but he did gather from her words that his spectacles had changed hands. "You'd do well to listen to yourself, Sunil. Could I perhaps have those back?" he asked, stretching out a hand in Valsharess's direction this time.

Wasabineko
"That I understand perfectly. Cold and I... we have very little to speak about. Our meetings are sparse and brief if I can help it." He looked about, trying to find something he might lean against as they spoke instead of plopping onto the frigid glass. "This rain, however, I believe I like. I've read of warm places where the rain falls even as it evaporates from the leaves and ponds. That is weather I would very much like to see."

And then his attention was spun full over to the development in Glass-capades. In his mind, he comprised a list of various outcomes and how he might defuse each. Choice phrases selected, he was prepared to jump in if needed.

TarnishedHalo
Valsharess tilted her head at the two and landed. A contemplative look settled on her face, travelling from a slight furrow of her brown down her features into a pursing and wiggling of her lips.

"Well I really suppose it depends on your definition of rude. One might think that saying excuse me is a rude comment and then in fact you are being rude when others may think you are being polite."

Her mouth opened to continue before she realized she might ramble and she'd been warned against that. Val looked at the male feien who was looking at her and wanting the glasses.

"Well I suppose you can have them, yes. I mean I can't use them. Much too strong. It's a shame someone just left them here in this lady feien's hand. I found them. Yes of course you may have them!" She gave a smile and gave them back to Simon. She gathered that they may be his by how he asked, but her speech was just her own roundabout and confusing explanation. Everyone else may in fact think she was idiotic and/or insane.

"I am Valsharess. I suppose I should introduce myself to the both of you since we just met in this place. Thank you glasses, for bringing us together."

RikProwley
"Thank you, glasses," mumbled Simon, slipping the glasses back onto his face. He blinked at Valsharess. Yet another unfamiliar face. He supposed he might have to learn who everyone was if he was supposed to run this shop. "I'm Simon, the shop owner." He glanced at Sunil, now that he could actually make out her features.

kamtrouble
Sunil just sputtered for a moment, wondering what the hell had just happened.

"Valsharess. That's a strange name. I suppose it fits," she muttered, crossing her arms over her chest again. "I hope you know you just ruined my fun."

Zero Dream
"I like air, but not cold air like right now. I believe what you're talking about would be stream, Indra. Z told me about it when she was making tea. When water reach a certain temperature point, it becomes lighter than air, gaz instead of liquid, and soars up... I think. Her explaination was like greek, so that's all I kinda understood of it."

She didn't seem to mind the glass at all, sitting on the edge and letting her legs hang in the air, her yellow feathered wings closed against her back, having no use to keeping them spraid out as she wasn't using them at the moment.

RikProwley
Now that he was able to see again, Simon couldn't help but to blush slightly at his folly. He should have recognized Sunil sooner. Those markings and the hair -- it could only be Sunil, of course. Her personality had just been the icing on the cake. "Fun at the expense of others is the refuge of the very small-minded," he said, wrinkling his nose. "You're no better than Corvus, Sunil, and he was right about what he said about you."

TarnishedHalo
"Simon.." She wiggled her pursed lips again. "I know your name from somewhere..." Her voice dropped as she talked to herself. "Simon.. simon..met a pieman.." She bobbed her head and then opened her mouth.

"YES! Halo told me about you. She's my bond you know. She told me a lot about feien I didn't know. She said that I was your bloom.. or .. something. That would mean child, correct? You gave birth to me? Interesting. Really." She had put only little thought into meeting her parent and had felt nothing but curiosity. "Isn't this funny? And I am sorry, lady feien. I will call you lady feien because you have not introduced yourself to me quite yet. I did not mean to ruin your fun. It didn't look enjoyable though, because you were not smiling. I apologize but I was told that fun things made you smile. I hope that you don't do all your fun things with such frowns on your face."

RikProwley
"Birth you...? Ah, no," said Simon quite firmly, intent on erasing any misconceptions on this juvenile's part before they could take hold any deeper. Particularly if she was actually one of his offpsring. While she bore little resemblence to himself or Yasha, she did look a bit like Fifth. "Feien don't give birth. Feien are borne by a fairy plant. Furthermore, we have 'children' only in a very technical sense. All feien are in actuality children of their mother plant."

kamtrouble
"Refuge of the very small-minded." Sunil mimiced, rolling her eyes. "And I really don't give a rat's a** what Corvus said about me."

She gave Simon a hard stare, narrowing her eyes at him. She didn't like this little smarty pants than thought he was better than her. And the fact he obviously had been friends with Corvus only pissed her off more.

The fact that the freak juvenile was apparently his kid siphoned off a little of her rage into laughter.

"Your kid is a freak Simon. Like father like daughter?"

She gave Val her own little angry glare and then stomped off, leaving a conversation on a losing note for the second time in as many days.

RikProwley
Simon very quickly came back with, "Actually, yes. You do take after your father, don't you, Sunil?" His face reddened further.

TarnishedHalo
Val lifted up into her hover a bit higher and looked after Sunil. "I was always told that freak meant original.. unles you had some sort of disgusting physical abnormality that made people unable to bear looking at you. At least that's what Gallium says." She looked back at Simon, totally unphased by insults. She remained completely calm. Everything seemed to roll off of her.

"Why are you blushing Simon? Are you embarrassed? Should I call you Simon or father or perhaps nothing. Perhaps you don't wish to know me? If that is so then I am completely fine with your wishes. Though I would expect a fairly good explaination. All actions should have plausible and logical reasons behind them."

Zero Dream
Ryuusei just watched as Sunil left, and seemed a little relieved. This would be one to avoid, she took note... She really didn't wish to get in any trouble. All she wanted was to be happy, her friends happy, and being able to play games and do the things she liked.

It shouldn't be too hard, right ? It wasn't like if she was asking for the world on a platter.

RikProwley
Simon stopped sniping at Sunil long enough to listen to Valsharess and his color only reddened even more. "No, it's--" he began, then quickly abandoned trying to explain why he always blushed, as the explanation would only embarass him further. "I am sorry we haven't met sooner, actually. I've been... busy."

Which was a damn lie. Hiding out in a closet reading books to avoid contact with the outside world did not and never would constitute the definition of "busy."

Wasabineko
He smiled in response. Of course he had known exactly what he was talking about, but he wasn't going to begrudge her explanation of the simple process. He appreciated that she was eager to share her knowledge even if it was of things he had learned long ago. In return, he would do the same.

"I'm quite intimate with concept of steam, down the element in fact. My bond jokes that all she needs to summon me is to set a kettle on the burner. But, what I am referring to a place. There are these forests, far south from here, where the sun lends the most warmth to the earth. They are tropical... muggy... steamy. The also have the strangest inhabitants... things to rival even what we find around here."

He was, of course, referring to wide range of exotic fauna that seemed to be the vice of bonds. Wasabineko had managed to keep a healthy cap on her collection... but he had heard rumours...

TarnishedHalo
Val nodded and set back down, looking up at her father. "It's alright. I don't leave the house much. No good reason except that I don't. I explore around home and read and try and work on the intraweb-net-worldwide thing. ANd I help Gallium get piercing materials. She did my ears!" She shook her head and the 3 rings jingled a bit.

"I haven't seen any other feien with earrings. I think they make me original, though we are all original in our own way. I don't look much like you." Her shift of subject was very abrupt, almost in the same breath.

RikProwley
Simon nearly groaned. Apparently, he had passed on his worst traits to this juvenile. (Neither he nor Yasha had passed on any traits to Fifth, of course.) "I like the earrings," he offered. "Feien don't look much like their genetic parents most of the time. It's merely a facet of our biology. We're more related to the plant than each other."

Zero Dream

After that, trough, she glanced at the time, and her tiny orange eyes whidened.

"Oh, im sorry, but I need to go..." She got up, looking a bit sad. "I hope to see you later, you're nice to be around ! See you, Indra !"

With this, Ryuusei took off by the same way she came in.

TarnishedHalo

Her eyes widened a bit as he explained. "Really? That's very interesting. I like to find these things out. I like to know a lot of things. All I can really. I figure there is no harm in knowing and experiencing everything. I think breeding would be great fun. Just to see what I would produce, you know? Yes.. great great fun."

RikProwley
"That's a good way to look at it," agreed Simon. His blush was receding slightly. "Have you familiarized yourself with the things on the notice board? There's a good deal of information there, most of what's known."

Wasabineko
That was fleeting... Pleasant... but fleeting. Perhaps it was a good thing that he hadn't had the chance to get comfortable...

TarnishedHalo
"A little bit. I haven't sat extensively and studied it yet. I know about what pertains to myself mostly." She tilted her head. "Did you write all of that yourself?? I should really learn it all. That way I can have all the supreme knowledge of the feien!!!.. Well not really. That would be a lot of things I probably wouldn't care to know. Details details. I am still a bit puzzled about magic though. I know what it is and that it is there but I don't know how to use it. Maybe I do and don't realize it. Oh did you know my element was Respiration?? Interesting huh???"

RikProwley
Respiration. Same as Fifth. Well, this really did seem to be one of his offspring. Simon arched an eyebrow. "Is it?" he said, pretending to be surprised. "I'm afraid I can't tell you much about the magical information; I'm not well-versed in it myself. I wrote all the genetics information after the first few genes, though. That's been my primary role in the shop for some time now."

TarnishedHalo

"Oh.." She frowned a bit. "But that is alright, Simon-father." he never answered what she should call him. So that would do. "I will find out from someone. In time. Perhaps since you are an expert genetic-person, I shall ask of you about that. I don't know anything about genes except that you are my father and Yasha is my mother. I suppose I had siblings too? I never met any of those. Not that I am aware of anyway. I haven't looked into it. Perhaps I should make Halo find out my genetic information. She is lazy. Gallium calls her a '******** lazy a** b***h'." Val actually finger quoted the phrase and it was said in such a blunt and clinical way that it could hardly be taken as offensive.

RikProwley
"Could you--" Simon started to say.

There came a voice from the front entrance. "Simon," it said very clearly. Simon looked up at his name.

The voice belonged to a middle-aged man in a heavy black coat, familiar green hat, and black gloves. "There you are," he continued upon sighting the feien. He stepped into the shop. "We were worried when you didn't come back."

"Sorry," said Simon, "I rather much had some things to take care of and lost track of time."

"Well, dinner's to be starting in fifteen minutes. If you head out now you can be back in time for it, and you can have my company for the trip."

It was a tempting offer. Simon looked back at Valsharess. "I'm terribly sorry," he said, "I have to go. You're welcome to come and visit me at any time. The directions are on the shop board." And with that he bobbed his head farewell and made his way out with the older man.

TarnishedHalo
Val didn't seem bothered that Simon was leaving. She was, as always, completely nuetral. It rolled off.

The juvenile feien waved politely. "Goodbye Simon-father! Have a good dinner. Perhaps I will visit sometime, yes I should. It would be interesting and you could tell me about genetics and make me a genius." he smiled again as the Simon-father left and then turned back to the other feien that might be around, if any. She had lost track of them since she'd been engrossed in conversation.

Wasabineko
Just as Val was scanning the room, Indra happened to be looking straight at her. The result was a perfect, uninterrupted connection. He gave a short wave and a cheeky smile, feeling a bit like an intruder on the whole exchange.

TarnishedHalo
Val blinked at the boy fairy and then waved back. She hovered over to where he was and wiggled her toes a bit, hands once more clasped behind her back. "Hello. I am Valsharess, boy-feien. Who are you?"

She looked him over and tried to attach what he looked like to various feien descriptions she'd heard in her head. He sure had pretty hair though!

Wasabineko
As strange as the greeting was, it wasn't something he was entirely unprepared for, having listened in on the previous conversation. Actually, he almost welcomed this sort of lively exchange, even if he had to think double time to keep up. "My name is Indra, Miss She-Feien-Valsharess." He snapped his fingers in instant recognition. "The gift. You and I have met before... even if only through the exchange of cosmetics."

TarnishedHalo
Val smiled a bit wider at the greeting and bobbled her head and let her earrings jingle. "Oh! Indra! I know your name! A face to a name.. or a name to a face.. name-face face-name."

She finally set herself down beside him on her feet, "You were my not-so-secret-because-I-revealed-my-identity Santa! Did you enjoy your gift and use it? Your hair is very sparkly-shiny so I hope so. I hope I made the right decision in it's creation."

Wasabineko
"Yes I have made plenty of use out of your gifts and am very grateful. I only wish I might have been your..." He stumbled over the wording with a smile, "...your still-secret-because-I-wasn't-really-your-santa-so-my-identity-is-safe-santa so I could reciprocate your thoughtful present. Perhaps I can give you a gift for another occasion or just for fun."

She seemed to be a very kind soul. He couldn't see why the two elders seemed to regard her with such disdain.

TarnishedHalo
Val rocked on her heels and wiggled her toes again. "Oh that would be special, spiffy, and all together lovely I think. Though it is unnecessary. I never got my secret santa gift as a recipient. I don't mind though. I know people are very busy and distracted and may be weird about giving a stranger a gift!"

The feien girl tucked her bangs behind her ear and looked around. "Are you the only one here? Weren't you speaking with another? Not that it matters or you have to tell me. I would be perfectly content not to know as well as I would be to know."

Wasabineko
It was a little sad, that she had worked so hard to create a gift for him only to receive nothing in return. He made a mental note to rectify the situation as soon as he was able.

He didn't have to look over his shoulder the answer her question. "I do believe we are the only survivors of this afternoon. Miss Ryuu has gone on her way... to where I don't know. Will you be here long?"

TarnishedHalo
"I don't know. Halo is very odd and unpredictable. She will come by when it is convenient for her. If she doesn't cme at all then I can stay as long as I'd like!" Val tugged her earring idly. She had a habit of that now.

"I will stay and keep you company if you'd like. Do you happen to know anything about magic?"

Wasabineko
"No knowledge that I haven't gained from just experimenting. Nothing formal. I would like to find someone who does someday, but it seems they are far and in between." His eyes caught the glints of metal sparkling through the strands of her hair. "Are those...? I've only seen those on bonds before now."

TarnishedHalo
"Earrings." She shook her head and the hoods bobbled. "Gallium did them. She's shiny. A mendel. She likes piercings and tattoos and wanted to try to pierce so she did my ears. Do you like them? She will pierce you if you want. She'll pierce anyone, anywhere."

Val tilted her head. " I want to learn magic. I don't know how to do it really."

TarnishedHalo
A bright red haired head popped in under the crack in the window and with big eyes and a smile said, "Wooooo! Shiny box of lettery flashing magic!"

Val really had no idea what had happened or what had been proposed to happen but that mail thing was neat. "Interesting mail contraption-item. Ours at home doesn't do that. Hello Simon-father!"

The tiny feien juvenile wriggled herself inside like some sort of worm. Not that she necessarily needed to move like a worm but it suited her mood at the moment. Perhaps she was just pleased to see people in the shop. Or maybe not. You never could tell.

"Ooo. Call the maid-cleaner. It's dirty 'like whoah'." She'd obviously picked that phrase up from home.

Feien
"Valsharess!' said Simon, amazed to see the feien appear so soon after he had been thinking of her. At Val's words it suddenly occured to Simon that even though the paper had risen up into the air and disappeared as if by magic, the situation had not triggered the prickling of the hairs on the back of his neck that indicated magic was in use. He frowned. "That's odd..."

Feien
"Can I have another of those sheets?" Simon asked suddenly, looking over to Sarabi.

TarnishedHalo
Once through the window she immediately hovered and tucked her hands behind her back in her normal position. She wiggled her toes and tilted her head to the side.

"They say that sometimes, yes." She just grinned and swooped (in a hovering sort of way) over to Simon, looking up at Sarabi, the person she didn't know, and offering a shining cute grin too.

"What was the important correspondence relating-attached-connected to?" was directed back to Simon.

Feien
"It was an objection," said Simon, pointing towards the notice on the wall. "To that."

Sarabi Adruenna
"Oh of course!" Sarabi ripped a couple more sheets of paper and handed them to Simon, "Here you are, dear." She then leaned on the counter trying to wrack her mind to think of more people. She honestly didn't know many people in the Feien community, and she told Simon this. "Other than Hitomi and her friend Kojak, I don't know many others. I breifly met Kojak's bond, Wren, when he stopped by to drop off Kojak. Although, I'm sure Hitomi wouldn't be too keen on the idea of beign taken away to join the military."

As if on cue. The bubbly pink child flew through the always open window and pulled the breaks midair and hung there looking around herself taking in the shop.

"What happened in here? It looks like it was attacked by a really big dust bunny. Which is actually highly possible, if untended to dust bunnies can actually grow to be quite large. Which is odd because it usually works the other way with most animals. The less you feed a dog or a cat the smaller they tend to get because they get really hungry and skinny. Oh. Hi mom!" Hitomi kept mumbling to herself as she made her way about the shop picking up various pieces of trash and clearing away the dust that she could. She'd puff her cheeks up really big and blow out a small gust of wind sending dust flying off the surface and on to the floor, creating more mess on the floor. But at least the tables were getting cleaner. [Note: Hitomi is an air Feien and is practicing the skill, 'Small Gust'. Sometimes it does nothing that a lung full of air could normally do. Sometimes it cleans off an entire tabletop, and anywhere in between.]

Feien
There was a sudden flurry as dust, loads of dust, flew up into the air around Simon, Sarabi, and Valsharess. For a magical moment it was winter in July with discolored snowflakes.

Then Simon gave two quick sneezes, jerking roughly about in the air with each. "Achoo! Achoo!"

Feien
"Achoo!" came another sneeze from the corner of the shop. The empty corner.

TarnishedHalo
"OooooOOoooOoooOoo." The noise really did vary in pitch as she hovered in front o the document, buzzing here and there, wiggling her toes excitedly and behind her back her tiny fingers wiggled and laced and unlaced and danced animatedly on her hands.

She spun around and put on a stern face, buzzing down to be in front of Simon.

"ATTEEEENSHUN!" She put her hand up to her forehead in something of a salute that looked like it came from a Three Stooges skit. "Peeeeeriiiivate Valsharrrress repooortin fer duty!"

She immediately snapped out of it though. "OoOo!" It was followed by a bubbly cute giggled. "Wren has funny horns and I like to braid-cornrow his hair. He is a sex-pot!"

Obviously she'd been eavesdropping on her bond on the phone with friends.

"Simon-father." Her attention flipped again. It was amazing how fast it changed. Not necessarily scatterbrained so much as.. full brained. "I'm a lover not a fighter. The world is a stage!" ...whatever those two combined meant.

And then the dust flew around and Val sneezed too. And Simon-father sneezed.

And the corner sneezed.

And of course, Val had to make an 'O' face and swoop over to investigate!

"Are you an invisible friend?" She whispered into the air. "It's ok. We love you. well maybe not. But Simon-father will love you. I'll make sure!"

Sarabi Adruenna
"Egads! Hitomi, love! Hitomi! Please stop dear. We know you're trying to be helpful but it's just making a bigger mess. And it's disturbing poor Simon here." Sarabi turned to Simon after his sneezes, "Bless you, dear, I'm sorry about that. Hitomi underestimates herself sometimes. I hope you're not to angry." As the other sneeze came from the corner Sarabi casually turns and says, "Bless you. Like I said Hitomi..." Sarabi then turns quickly towards the corner, her eyes rather wide. There wasn't anyone there previously. Sarabi fans her hand in front of her face trying to clear the last bit of dust from the hair. Her hands growing blue and shiny as the blue gelatinous magic begings to slowly cover her hands, a defensive reaction anymore nowadays. "Um..Is someone there??"

Feien
"Achoo!" went the corner again. Valsharess could feel a gust of air sweep past her. Then something came up and knocked her through the air several inches.

Instantly the invisible assailant spoke. "I am sorry!" said the voice, high and panicky. "So sorry! Are you okay?" It sounded male -- barely, as if the male in question were young in age.

Feien
"Va--" Simon started, eyebrows tightening with worry as the juvenile was knocked aside. He would have darted over to help but for the sudden voice from the corner. His eyes widened with surprise. Today was just full of surprises, it seemed. And not really the good kind.

TarnishedHalo
Val bobbled in the air, her comfortable tight hovering pose broken apart by the gust. It only made her blink and begin to mumble a bit. "Bibblebobble air. Turbulence. Ghosts!" Mumbling to herself until she caught it and heard the corner talking to her.

"Invisible friend! I am fine." She regained her composure. "You should have your allergies checked out. They are sort of Bitchin'! Kick some a**, if you will!"

Val buzzed around the corner, "Do mine eyes decieve me? Do mine eeears? He or she, invisible ghosty fiend!" She was smiling though and waving her arms in front of her looking for the invisible culprit.

Sarabi Adruenna
"Um...Boy, are you alright?" Hearing a young voice Sarabi assumed that there wasn't much of a threat. What she really wanted to know was how the boy got there. But with letters popping into thin air, I suppose it was possible for people to pop out of thin air. Sarabi took a couple of cautious steps toward the corner hoping to not meet the wrong end of some kind of weapon...or, knowing this place, spell.

Feien
There was a shimmer in the air and suddenly a person was standing there. He was young, no more than seventeen years of age, with feathery-soft blonde hair and dark blue eyes. He was dressed in a brown uniform with blue shoulders and some silver pins at the collar. He smiled apologetically.

"I'm quite fine," he said, voice even and calm now. "I did not mean to disturb you. I'm afraid I'm not much of a spy."

Feien
"Who are you?" Simon demanded instantly, recognizing the uniform but not the face.

The boy bowed his head and tugged at the jacket of his uniform. "Lieutenant Alfredo Cabrizzio, Communications/Operations, secretary adjutant to Ops Director Fujimoto." He gave a small salute, crisp but not wholly military.

TarnishedHalo
Val made an 'O' face again and her waving arms bumped into the boy's nose.

"Big stranger-invisible-thing. Named after pasta sauce...." She backed up and hovered in front of his face, hoping maybe his eyes would cross. She always got a kick out of that.

"Spy eh?" The tiny feien spun, mumbling something about prisoners of war, court marshals, and Stargate. She buzzed down to Simon and leaned over. "What should we do with 'im, Cap'n Simon-Father? Tar an feather? Torture? Hours of the show My Three Sons???"

Sarabi Adruenna
"Well arriving in the midst of a dust storm doesn't help I suppose." Sarabi saw the boy's uniform and assumed this was their response to the letters. Hearing the boy's introduction confirmed the suspicion. Her tone changed dramatically. She became a bit colder and more cold, "I'm assuming that you were sent as the reply to our letters. I'm glad there were at least recieved. I wasn't quite sure where they went after the vanished." Sarabi stood with her arms crossed, the blue color draining away. This boy barely had 3 hairs on his chest. He was also barely a threat.

Feien
"I'm not a spy," said the lieutenant quickly, raising his hands defensively. "I am a communications officer. I'm still working on the reply to your message. I have transmission incoming about it right at this moment." In addition to his uniform the boy had a device attached to his waist. There was a small keypad on it and tucked to the side was a familiar sheet of folded, yellowed paper. Sarabi's objection notice.

This was really quite the event. Simon looked at Val, realizing that yet again he was being directed to call the shots, and straightened perceptibly with the responsibility. If only he knew what he was supposed to do.

"If I may?" asked Lt. Carbizzio, pointing down at the device on his belt. Simon gave a nod. The lieutenant imediately began to key something into the keypad with fast, small motions on his left hand.

audespero
In Dreisan's now absence, Donovan tried not to further distress Aude. He could tell she was a bit confused and obviously not the most stable of individuals. Oh how half of him wished his wings hadn't failed, but the other half really didn't quite mind meeting this human. There was something about her childish sobs that endeared her to him.

"Excuse me miss, but I think it's about time I talk with someone who knows what's going on, for my own sake. I've become rather weak these days and I fear the worst for my bond." And with that Donovan bowed, tested his wings for strength, and flitted over towards the others.

TarnishedHalo
Val hovered behind Simon and peered over his shoulder. She was mumbling some names under her breath to herself, though he could probably hear. She gave no care to maybe he'd think she was crazy. "..Rosso. Valerio. Carbizzio."

"Simon-father," She inquired aloud. "Are space-galactic-alien people Italian? His name sounds like Italy-ians." Just a random thought. Since two italians lived at home with her.

"Is this the draft?"

Feien
"I'm not a space alien," the lieutenant said, still focused on his device. "I'm from Italy. Venice, to be more exact." Then he looked to Sarabi. "Do you require an official hardcopy or will vocal communication suffice? Or unofficial hardcopy?"

audespero
He wasn't quite sure how to go about introducing himself, seeing as how he'd never met more than a couple of Brook's aqquaintances, and never any other Feiens.

He hovered in closer to the mass of people, a hand to his mouth, trying to speak but nothing would emerge. He just wasn't quite decided on what to say, nor how to say it. He could just wait for someone to see him, or hear him, but they were all so engorged in their own situations at hand, that it was probably an unlikely wish that they take time to notice simply another unknown Feien flitting in the air nearby.

It was obvious that he was just going to have to figure out something to say, and darn well say it.

Sarabi Adruenna
Sarabi narrowed her eyes a bit, she didn't quite trust this boy. The or the man he worked for. Why would a powerful miltary commander send this boy to take care of work that he should've shown up for himself. The boy started fiddling with something on this belt and Sarabi raised an eyebrow. She tried to look calm as he addressed her, "I'd appriciate a hardcopy if you would please. Official or otherwise." She was attempting to go about this as diplomatically, and officially, as possible. She wanted copies of everything in case all of this was thrown back into her face at some point in the future.

Feien
The lieutenant smiled at Sarabi, either oblivious to her discomfort or ignoring it. "I'll give you unofficial, then. It would take longer to get official document codes." He pressed something on the device at his waist and a sheet of paper emerged. "This communication is from Deputy Communications Director Captain Hamada." Lt. Cabrizzio held out the paper for Sarabi to take.

Re: Objection Notification subj Feien Project Seizure/Reallocation

Please inform the party that feien who apply to remain on Gaia with their current bonds will be acknowledged and that so long as their current home is satisfactory these applications will be accepted. Our only interest is in removing feien from those homes which are not to project standards. End reply.

--------TRANSMISSION END--------

Sarabi Adruenna
Sarabi takes the paper from teh boy and reads it to herself before reading to aloud to those who cared/were paying attention, namely Simon. "Who is to say if their 'current home is satisfactory'", Sarabi made litle quotey fingers around the last bit. "Is someone going to come down and inspect everyone's homes? That's a bit of an invasion of privacy. And who's to say that the living situation is 'unsatisfactory'? What's unsatisfactory to...whoever you work for might be perfectly satisfactory to those that are actually in the 'current home'" She saw the point of the correspondence, but still did not agree with the entire project and was going to stand firm on her side of the verbal battle.

Feien
Simon, who had decided to hang back in the air and hope he was not called upon to make any more executive decisions, drifted down to read the reply. Suddenly it began to make sense to him. He recalled his conversation with Kazuo about the lack of information on many of the feien living on Gaia.

"I can't say whether their homes are satisfactory or not," he had said. "It worries me to have feien scattered across Gaia without any contact with them or their owners. Given the problems with those feien and owners I do actually know, there could be serious issues with the missing feien."

Kazuo had nodded gently in agreement, sipped his tea, and said, "Even with careful monitoring there have been mishaps with the fleet project feien, but we can at least minimize the problems with bond reassignment. Captain Hamada tells me he has had great success creating productive pairings with our current roster."

The words weighed heavily on Simon. "I almost wish I'd had the option of choosing my bond the way Fleet feien do," he said slowly. "And that someone policed my bond the way you police yours." He had looked up suddenly, worried he'd said too much. But the Vice Admiral only smiled in understanding and said, "Sometimes the arrangement is not right, even when you love the person."

And that, Simon realized, had led this whole mess. Maybe it wasn't too late to undo it.

Feien
"The requirements for that," said Lt. Cabrizzio slowly, reviewing his orders in his head, "are the decision of Captain Hamada. To quote him, 'there must be regular communication between the central agency and the outside units. Without that we risk violating our agreement.' So far as I understand it, home inspections are not required, but registering with the regional office on a regular basis is."

audespero
Upon hearing all the jibber jabber, Donovan once again second guessed himself. What if he too were taken away... His wings jingled loudly and he reached behind and smacked them. In his mind he urged "Nooo. Not now wings. Hush!" However they weren't listening. They jingled louder, like a tiny plea for help. He tumbled forward in the air and landed face first on the nearest table/surface.

Feien
Simon turned towards Donovan and blinked. "Are you quite alright?" he asked, moving towards the smaller feien. It was a silly question; Donovan was clearly in some trouble.

audespero
Donovan didn't respond. He was silent, his face plastered with a weak expression and pressed against the surface of the table. His markings were pale, and his wings barely shimmered in the room's bright light. Something was obviously not okay.

audespero
Her face buried in her arms, which were hugging her knees, Aude was too tired/gone for her to even realize that Donovan had left her shoulder, or that he had faultered in his flight to the middle of the room. She was still attempting to process all of this anyways. Strange little people on her shoulder, talking to her, military people trying to take them away. She hoped it was all just a strange dream, and that she would wake up in her and Sarabi's new home, any moment.

TarnishedHalo
During all the big-people talk, Val had gotten distracted. She was back at the notice board, and exploring the dust trails. She didn't notice Donovan (though she'd love to meet him if she'd seen him) and ended up disappearing into the shelves and dusty corners and alcoves.

Maybe she'd find something interesting.
