Informant...The thought seemed compelling, but her clear thoughts dominated. Why should you? You have twice as much at home. Plus, his asking about him. He who probably owns your soul and could do far worst. But...
She felt a smile tug her face, her eyes shifted from the gold to the smelly stranger. Smells out of the way, this could be interest. "I play no informant games, but I can spare some information. You need only to ask the right questions."

he chuckled momentarilly. she was strong-willed.

"how and where might i contact Val'Atar?" he asked, jingling the string of coins.

For a moment she remember Val'atar's words, just one call and he would appear later. The moment was shorter then a second before she replied, "Your joking right? All know where find the lord of the City. He is either at his fortress or visiting some noble house some where."
She glanced him over in disgust as reviled he would waste her time asking her that. Her false inpatients slipped into her speech as she asked,"Anything else you need information on? You'd better be quick, I have to get to my work."

"well, he isn't at his house, i checked there and followed him leaving it. but i lost sight of him. i don't suppose you know what noble house he is visiting?" Val was gettingvery irritated now, especially at being insulted by a common-girl. she must have been from a Llothite family origionally, if she were so gutsy.

"and if you don't know that, you can tell me where i might find the nearest temple to Vhaeraun."

The snort came out after he said the last word. She shook her head slightly and shifted on her feet, "Listen, I don't follow the trail of the city lord anymore then anyone else on the street. Last I heard from the gossip was that he was spotted going in the Hlairyn fortress."
She glanced around trying to appear like she was looking for the quick way out, "However, those from the house. Claim that he left. At least that what those who come the tavern say, but who really knows."
She knew. The point was that she wanted to see if he wanted anything else or if he was going to take what he could and leave. At this point, it looked like the latter.

"gragh..!" he exlaimed, rolling his eyes. he cut off a handfull of the coins and handed them to the commoner, then tied the string closed again. then, grumbling, he headed off towards the Temple district, hoping to find a Priest of the Masked Lord while he waited for Val'atar to pop up again.

Irrafay watch the smelly one march off in frustration. Her lips pressed together, she was trying so hard to not, but she laughed. A rare sight for her to laugh, but she did.
She turned and continue along in till she reached the door of her tavern. Opening it she was greeted by the usual dim of noise and smells of food.
Some of the workers waved, she gave them a nod and walked in thinking. I kinda wish he had pressed for more information, but oh well. I had some fun this cycle.

The vampire had failed to find what he wanted and marched off in frustration. Perhaps that was the reason he never saw the dark shadow that arose behind him as he strode on blindly. Neither did he see the blade as it cleft the darkness, but perhaps for a mere moment he heard the sound as the razors edge split the air, causing him to turn ever so slightly to glance over his shoulder.

It was thus at that moment when the sword found his flesh and in the twitch of the eye, passed through and beyond. No blood spurted, neither did a scream rent the air. Instead the body of the ancient drow vampire dissolved into ash, the head following it so that as they both fell.. no sound was heard, no crumple of weight on the stone. Nothing but the soft settling of ashes on the rocks below where he had stood moments before.

Of the silent shadowed killer, nothing remained. It was as if in the moment it took for the body to immolate itself, he had been swallowed by the very darkness from which he had arisen. Shouts soon erupted from those stunned onlookers in the market. Stifled creams and panicked whispers erupted like wildfire as the drow and other beings of the market place sought to be elsewhere from the area. On the tide of the crowd a whisper carried above the other voiced curses and hushed names.. Druu'giir.

One such onlooker turned down a side alley and ran hard. Work such as this was bad news even for the organization he worked for. Running into a dead end he pulled the crest of Xukuth D'Roesor from his cloak and pressed it against the grating for the city sewers. As soft glow envelouped the heavy metal grating as it silently lifted and moved aside. Making sure not to be followed the assassin jumped down into the sewers and made a straight run for the guild hall, eager to report the killing.

Eilov made his way nervously through the crowds to the end of the chained way. Locating the exotic slave shop he made his way upstairs and grabbed the key beneath the windowsill. Rushing inside Eilov unpacked his things from a dimensional pocket, only what he would need for the moment, anything of real value or use was left on his shadow plane abode. Taking a moment to rest Eilov recovered his spell book and began to place every possible ward, circle, sigil, and defensive spell he could on the house; ensuring that he could enter reverie safely...

Eilov completed his reverie and studied his spells again. Reaching into his bag he pulled out a scroll of sending and passed along a message to the Master of Au Shinduago, "Met Ironclaw, ruse still working, another successful implant, awaiting orders." Knowing that the spell would reach him Eilov patiently waited while organizing his new residence...

Eilov shook for a moment as the message returned to him filled with the Masters words to him. Eilov waited another moment and went to work on his test. Eilov channeled the power of his mother cyst and viewed the world through the eyes of one of the assassins. He could hear the words of those around him and see what he saw. Eilov forced his mind through the cyst in the assassin and dominated him.

Walking around he took note of several places for the next part of the plan. Searching the rest of the guild he uncovered some records of people that could not be targeted due to family relations within the guild. Mentally recording the names he had the assassin take a seat in the main room and left his mind for now.

Eilov felt his mind travel back to his own body where he recorded all that he had saw and the names of the families. Eilov went back to his plans trying to find a way to infect all of them before the week was up...

"...and they were all supposedly eaten." The speaker nodded slowly looking between the two buyer in front of her stale.

"There is no way an entire clan could be eaten...is there?" the male looked side long at the girl beside him. The drowess shrugged saying, "Not unless the Lord of the City let lose his demon buddies, at least I've heard he had demon buddies."

"Shush! You don't know who has ears out for him." The Seller warned her costumers. "He's made quick work of those he doesn't like...why haven't you heard of the those gray bodies appearing."

Valdaer watched from his perch on two barrel, as the two buyers shook their head. Clearly they're new, madame seller...new here and probably some former moon lovers who thought they were bed enough to join down here. I should tag them...they're make great bait. Valdear scrunch up his eyes to catch the female muttering

"Strange, I wonder where all the people went..."
Valdear shook his head thinking,Aw...dearie, don't make me have to kill you. Those question are best left untouched.

"Well don't worry about. I'm sure there is another house that could use our services."

Valdear smiled as he leaned back shoot a glance over to the ally across from his. A small half-blood boy walked out from the area. Valdear frowned as the boy blended into the crowd and seemed to follow the two who had disappeared. Your services will be much appreciated.

And then he shifted his attention to another conversation. Four person crowd surrounding a vendor of small gems and jewelry.
"...and so there is little chance for trade to continue with them." one voice said.

"Aye, it will be." said a second. There was moment of silence though it didn't seem weighed.

"Well," said another male voice. "With the Mask Lord's blessing trade won't go stale here. But what worries me is all the disappearing investments. Their all picking up and moving. By the abyss even the school here seems empty and...even by Underground level slightly creepy."

"There is nothing better then demon and undead teachers..." muttered a second male voice. "I wonder if there be anymore trade here. Oh, wait..there might not be any trade at all.

"There is trade, though...slave trade. This is why the raider didn't go up, to many have been picked up and taken as slaves."

The group got quiet again, and Valdaer peered cautiously around his building to see them quietly looking down at the seller. A drow wearing a collar, the drow simple shrugged, though it was clear from his build and the scar that use to be a fighter.

"I've heard rumors that the downfall in trade and goods of the City is coming from a...special city not far from here...one that worships her," They all shuddered. And then glance around themselves as if to check that there weren't any spiders around.

"I won't be surprised...You've seen the temple district. Empty...soon they might start moving in..." The one adjusted his sword belt.

"Not that, people have been supposedly moving out of the city for that reason to go there...all in the name of trade..."

"At this rate there won't be anyone left here. Now then Jun, choose a blasted gem so we can moving here. These streets have ears..." At this Valdaer leaned back against his building. And then quickly got off, this cycle was just getting better as the tower light faded.
