So, our season started last monday and our drum major went to DMA (Drum Major Accadamy) and came back with all of these new terms!
Such as
- Left Turn - Right Turn - About Turn
And in band parade rest we use to have our hands behind our back but now they are um like gypsi like...Idk how to explain it...like one arm on top of the other in like a box shape in front of you...and she calls attention all wierd like now gonk
And she says like Left oboguchi or something like that i forgot what it was called, it's a 45 degree turn. If anyone knows the right turn.
Wow, new band director, new terms, noobs, but amazing music.
Indiana Jones, Danny Elfman opener and closer =] I've already listend to Opener 28 times on itunes in just the past 2 hours.
So anything that relates to this please post reply eek

Not quite the same thing, but our band has traditionally done a box drill as basic footwork adjustment. Last year we did this weird circle drill. It threw all the old people off. This year they went back to box drill. Shows how well they think the circle drill worked xd

Yeah, I know what you mean. Our band got a new director this year and everything is so different, in both good ways and bad. This year we have something like 30 officers and it's really annoying when I'm so used to a number closer to 10. Especially when only 3 or 4 do their jobs. But it's really nice when most of the band finally does what they're supposed to do (as marchers/musicians.) rolleyes
