Woot! sometimes shredding (and indeed some prog rock/metal) can be okay, but most of the time i find the solos boring. there's too much technical exercises and finger acrobatics in music these days and not enough soul and feeling. i'd much rather listen to a 1 minute blues solo than to a 6 minute shredfest extravaganza. it's more emotive That reminded me of the Dragonforce fanatics over here.
