jazz didn't seem like a good nickname for jasper....???? and i couldn't imagine edward saying it.... lol.

I guess it was a peak into how close the Cullens really were. I think it just took everyone like " neutral " because they never used nicknames like that before. I liked his name, but I thought it was odd to bring it into the third book. Kind of like, Edward got closer to Jasper and started doing that when they've known each other for years. And I doubt Bella started it, seeing as she's not one to do that to people really. At least not people she isn't really close to. (AKA Jake)

I personally thought it was kind of cute and Edward calling Jasper Jazz isn't that surprising...I mean they're like brothers so nicknames aren't that uncommon. (Ack...don't kill me!) sweatdrop

I'm glad to find I'm not the only one who was confused as to who "Jazz" was when it first appeared in BD. I had read the previous 3 books within days of reading Breaking Dawn and I was like..I'm 95% sure no one has ever called him Jazz..
I agree with all those other people who thought it was out of character for Edward to call him that. I just can't imagine it..
That was really careless of Stephenie, I think, to not remember that none of her other books referred to him as Jazz..

i think it might be like how Edward started calling he daughter Nessie. The mind reading rubbs off. I know it took a while for it to, but it's Edward.
