((got it. You can try to evade the grapple. If you fail, you'll have to wait until your next turn to begin trying to escape.))

Terran wildly gyrates, in hopes of evading the trolls dubious embrace...

((+agility (5)+ defense(5)= 17 Sucess!!))

surprisingly (or maybe not) he manages to evade the large, irate Boseks grasp.

"you still can't catch me, ogre!"

having evaded the non-affectionate embrace of the irate Bosek Terran proceeds to take a swipe at her with his axe...

((When you roll damage I'll adjust my post accordingly.))

The slippery little elf manages to escape, once again which, was becoming more than frustrating to Urzula. When the elf swings his little ax at her, Urzula once again ignores it and picks up her own ax. The majority of the impact was taken by her armor and her tough skin. "You still can't hurt me Twiggy." With the elf already up close, Urzula takes a swing at him, planning to show him what a real hit looked like. "I's about time you learn what a real hit is!" she shouts bringing her axe down over her head.

((9+1+5=15 a hit.))

(( dmg=7+6+2=15-13=2))

once again, Terran's axe thuds into Urzula, most of the impact dispersed by her heavy armor, however, the strike had enough power to leave a nasty little bruise...

attempting a quick recovery/block combo, Terran...

fails, and takes the full force of the Boseks strike, exactly where she intended it...

((ouch bad place to get a 1.. >.< Dead no matter what so it would have been nice to stake it all on a dare roll. 10+10+6=26-4=22))

The axe lands square in the elf's shoulder making his light armor split like paper. Urzula grins and brings her ax back above her head to take another attack. Before she could, she could see the life fade out of her opponent. The blood poured out onto the ground, and Urzula cleans the edge of the ax on the elf's clothes.

As Urzula begins walking out of the arena she muses, That was more tiring than it should have been.

((Okay, so that's a frickin' tough character build. I was thinking about building the progression differently for a long-term character. It's a really powerful build in the endgame.))

((wow...ouch great job on the build. i have another fight-mage just coming out the grinder...i actually learned something from this one....interested? i'll get him approved, etc...

anyhow, great job.))

as the axe descended towards Terran, he realized he couldn't evade it, this time. the previous exertions have finally caught up with him. not enough time to try Flicker...and i can't get out of this one with a spell. i'm dead.

((Yeah, Urzula is a really strong build. I don't think she could beat a speed/range rogue with a lot of emphasis on special attacks, though. Of course, Necromancy does help her even that gap. Aidan, you had a good strategy. Unfortunately, Geomancy isn't very attack heavy and serves more as a support for other fighters...on its own, it isn't very strong until later on. Good fight you two!))

((I think the speed/range rogue would probably win, but it would be a hell of a fight. It would take a long time to do any real damage with any of the starting bows (best bet would probably be a crossbow) or the basic guns (blunderbuss could be pretty mean, or a long gun could suffice). Raising a few undead would definitely help out, but unfortunately they don't work well in the sun. The 13 damage reduction and the 75 HP really goes a long way. I can ignore most attacks and focus on unleashing actual damage. Plus, winning a grapple with a character this strong pretty much wins it for you. It takes several strength feats to break out (which are not very easy for not strength based characters) and I can do my strength in damage every round. More if I use a shadowsnake. It's a mean build, though to optimize it would mean nerfing it at the beginning to focus on power, intellect, and stuff to get a head start on it since it takes more xp to raise those.

Additionally, Aidan's mage is really good against almost any light armor fighter. The sink into the ground spell is really good for setting traps and stuff. Maybe consider a whip or other rope-type weapon to tie an opponent straight to the ground. Or would a rope left in the earth when a geomancer hops out of the ground come out automatically? *shrugs* Magic. There's always something to exploit.))

Aldus patiently waits in his cage, meditating. He seeks internal balance, the peace of oblivion...but it has been too long since he has looked Death in the face. He has forgotten how it is to watch the life slip from his opponent. His time must come soon. His God demands it.

The gate opens....

Good. After this, I can speak to my God...then-I shall be at peace again
