Twizted Humanitarian Alucard1057 And tell me Twizted, if someone figuratively kicked your pride in the crotch; would you go hide in a corner and cry it out? Would you surrender yourself and just give up? Abandon your ideals just because someone didn't agree with them? I would not abandon them, I would rebuild and after 2 or 3 times of this process I would realize, that this sort of thing is likely to happen everytime I rebuild and would then be discouraged from trying again. I am not suggesting this would be a quick fix, it would likely take more than once to send the message. You are forgetting that Iran has powerful allies with axes to grind with the US. Besides, what's the point? What has Iran done to deserve military action?

So you wouldn't be provoked to fight after another country, one which hates you to the core and you hate to the core, struck at you? I know I wouldn't sit by and just rebuild, I'd want redemption. One cannot just sit down and take a beating, unless you are a pacifist, but I don't think that example would fit here...

Unless you lie about it hmm... you do have a point, and since you are probably alluring to the bush presidency I'm gonna go ahead and jump in front of that gun and point out that you seem to think you can always tell when a leader is lying why couldn't the iranians? they are certainly just as intelligent as we are.

Bush's words on his speech to the American people nine days after 9/11 were not of promises of rising over the tragedy and building a bigger and better tower, but rather of retaliation towards those who attacked us on our own soil. I quote: "Tonight we are a country awakened to danger and called to defend freedom. Our grief has turned to anger, and anger to resolution. Whether we bring our enemies to justice, or bring justice to our enemies, justice will be done." Now, by no means am I comparing Bush to the likely actions of the Iranian president were his country attacked. Rather, I make the point that it is the natural reaction for a country's first act to be that of retaliation. And plus the people of Iran would feel just as furious to have learned that their all-time nemesis, Israel has struck at their land, the people would rise out of their homes to fight this enemy. The rebuilding of the capital could wait.
