I talked my bd into letting me play the piccilo this year even though she doesn't really like the piccilo. wink I am so happy!! Now its like I get to keep a piece of my old section leader with me. (she played piccilo and graduated last year. I miss her very much. sad )

good for you blaugh my bd says he's going to try to get us on the piccilo this year so it will be easier for next year.

lucky. our BD hates piccolos. I played the piccolo for concert season and other people say that it would be awesome to have a piccolo in the marching band.

Yay! Go piccolos! I don't see why everyone hates them so much. All the BDs I've had loved the piccolo. The band at school doesn't, but the one at band camp does, so we're good.

I've heard that our band usually has piccolos, but not this year. The theme is Arabian Waltz, and having piccolos would just sound weird because we're going for a darker sound.

our bd would have piccolos but she and most people in our band knows that the reed would break ... easly so good luck xp

My senior flute graduated, so I get the piccolo this year. This will be interesting - I've never even touched the school piccolo (she guarded it like her only child wink ).

TheCoolRanchRose our bd would have piccolos but she and most people in our band knows that the reed would break ... easly so good luck xp Ummm do you even know what a piccilo is??? A piccilo is a smaller version of the flute. It has no reed. I think your thinking of the oboe.
