I would have to agree with supa_bekka. His faith in keeping children safe of the orphanage concluded having to make decisions as to annihilating any threat even if it was human. "That's how I always justified my actions. I took many people's lives, all that time believing there was no other way. My sins are so heavy. Too heavy. Too heavy to ever atone for. And yet, somehow I feel happy, at peace with myself today. It really can be done. Once you stop to think about it, there are plenty of ways to save everyone. Why didn't I ever listen to him? Why didn't I see that before it was too late?" (Wolfwood,Ep. 23). This alone shows that he just had been unrealized, this is something almost any true human would go through if they really thought about the negativity of killing. Wolfwood is just simple man, like any of us, in the end all he had was an epiphany that made almost anybody who watched or read this manga realize what killing really was.
