skip to the scene in the movie where Violet, Klaus and Sunny are traped on the peice of wood floor in the middle of Huricane Herman. you'll see when Violet draws up her upper body, you can see the interior of her dress. The different shapes and colors are quite interesting. I hope this helps with you plans of making the dress! 3nodding heart

oO Yuki Yumi Oo I belive they tried to make it look Old Style European Gothic? It's in no way really realted to the gothic stereotype we in modern age reffer to. gosh... you don't have to get all smarticle on us!

!!!Personally, I think the movie itself was just eye candy. The dress is very pretty in the movie. The illustrations in the books are great as well, but the movie outfit was much more detailed and... pretty. ^^;;

I like the dress from the movie very much... and so from the books.... I like the thing that events vary from the books to film. It is just like in the book series - events vary from what is said about them... SPOILER ON TBL: even in TBL Beatrice says to LS that Baudelairs have told her about their story and it was not always as he has written... END OF SPOILER

Personally, I think the movie was a bit disappointing. The plot was all mixed up and everything. BUT Violet's outfit in the movie was nice and all but what I liked about the movie was that Jim Carey really did a good job being Count Olaf! razz
