Janish Kyou Blade Asynja Frigg Well, seeing as the guild was founded on centaur avatars, I believe it makes quite a big difference. :'P After all, we're based on the pride of being a centaur, being set apart from other Gaians, we share a common unity. Think of it as a gimmick. Without it, we're just another guild. Without the centaur pride that compelled you to join this guild, what do you have left here? I liked it here. That's why I was here. But based on what your saying, this guild is just another form of elitism. I had thought that the centaurs would be more kind and welcoming than that, but apparently I was wrong. Consider me gone. «×¤ψ¤×»
It's like Grombies except worse and more of a choice than circumstance.
I've liked this guild a lot since it sprang up but if it actually comes down to a dispute over your avatar's appearance then it's going too far. I originally thought this guild was formed by a united interest in centaurs, which was helped along by the release of the centaur skins.
We're (or at least some of us are) RPing our centaur original chars, not our avatars.
«×¤ψ¤×» That's what I thought this place was. I didn't know it was some elitist place where the avatar is all that matters. Asynja- Oh, I know I'm not getting kicked out. I'm quiting. The idea that we can't have the avatars we want to have is completely rediculous. I understand being different, but that takes it too far. And now your going back on what your saying. Now you say that its ok as long as we're a centaur at heart, but before you said it had to do with avatars. A little confusing, don't you think?

Janish «×¤ψ¤×»
I read: if you don't like the rules, then go somewhere else. The Herd won't change its rules for you.
I have mules, but I don't use them for anything aside from reserving names. Too much hassle to dress all of them up AND check mail/forum/guild on more than 1 char.
«×¤ψ¤×» I'm really sorry I came off like that, it's difficult wording things on the internet. You can come off more blunt than you mean too. When I posted that, I didn't realize how much anger had ruptured from this discussion. And I understand your point, what I said what just a suggestion.
I really don't want to see such great people arguing. I've had wonderful experiences with everyone involved in this discussion.
Maybe if we could all calm down and think this through? So far, this was the first I've heard about kicking people out for this reason. Has it actually happened, and to how many people?

If you're so disheartened over the fact that a centaur only guild prefers to have centaurs only, then so be it. Enforcing and discouraging changing back =/= the actual rule. No one ever said that people who change back would be kicked out. The only reasons for bannings, would be misconduct and several months inactivity. I am very flexible and open-minded, no one was getting kicked out. At all. But this kind of behaviour is not tolerated. Take your drama elsewhere, please.

Well this is a Centaur Guild, you gotta be a centaur to get in, if we let anyone other than centaurs in this place wouldn't be the same. Sure you can switch between every now and then with certain skins but its suggested to stay a centaur for the most part. I for one am happy to be a centaur and i don't plan to change for a long time. I hope you feel the same, if not then the door is right there. Its all your choice. :]

I personally think that having a centaur avatar AND RP character just made this guild fun, but if your so worried about wanting to change your avatar than just make a mule into a centaur and keep your main however you want :/
