[Hollow Point] Vice Captain

Is a very accurate representation of how the 2010's movie will be. I believe that the creators gave us a very rare glimpse into the future, and see an animated version of what M. Night Shymalan will be doing to our show. Of all the directors, why, oh why did you have to choose the worst of them all.
Woe's me In the darkness Of television One force shown through It called itself 'Avatar' And said it was true
But then an evil crawled From the hateful dark A demon called Night Sought to destroy What was good
With a click of switch And a focus of lens The mighty Night Left nothing to defend
No more! Called we The fans of TV But darkness knows not Of mercy or care And shot was this movie A blight of despair.

Nice poem ^^
I actually think the biggest problem with his movies is that they are always advertised wrong. They always try too hard to draw an audience and end up with one that is expecting something completely different than what they get... not that I've been very impressed with his movies anyway lately.

Katastrophic_Kate Nice poem ^^ I actually think the biggest problem with his movies is that they are always advertised wrong. They always try too hard to draw an audience and end up with one that is expecting something completely different than what they get... not that I've been very impressed with his movies anyway lately. Very true. Obviously if you advertise a suspense film as a horror, then horror fans are going to be disapointed when they see it. And M. Night's films are always a bit hard to catigorise, but they're always advertised as horror, when they definitely aren't. Heck, even Lady in the Water was advertised as horror, and it's a bleedin' bedtime story. I think M. Night will be able to do Avatar justice. There'll always be people who aren't going to like it just because he's the director, but I've learned to ignore them. And besides, people keep forgetting that Mike and Bryan are working with him on it. Do you think they'd let him change it until it's unrecognisable? (Which I don't think he will, considering he's a big fan of the series)

I don't think it matters, plot wise, I just think that he will shoot it stupidly or cast terrible actors. I mean, come on, the possibles we had was a teenage Japanese kid and a ******** hipster. In that interview (posted in some other thread) they're talking about how he will change some things from the show, but not everything. Why would they allow him to change anything at all? Sure, I'll watch it, if it's good, I'll write a new piece of prose, but for now I'm worried.

It could be worse, they could've had Uwe Boll directing it. (Check out the movies Alone in the Dark or House of the Dead, and you'll see what I mean.)

Kinda on topic, kinda not, but they have an Aang casting website up, and you can view a PDF of a script of some sort. I don't really know how the process works, but if that PDF is a section from the final script and not just a audition scene, than this movie is gonna be s**t. Also the first page has a message telling you there is no acting experience required. Fantastic.

As an actor myself, I can tell you right now a scene like that would NOT show any kind of talent. Also, Aang is an idiot. I fear for this movie.
