Some gamers might know it from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but it is a real instrument, and there are professionals. It is a wonderful instrument, and I'd like to know if I'm to only one here who plays it. If you're thinking o=about one, I'd go with Focalink. They're the best I've seen.

I got a Hyrule ocarina for Christmas a few years ago... I can't play it very well, but I got a few songbooks and I learned how to play Ding Dong the Witch is Dead from The Wizard of Oz. xp

How many holes? I have two ocarinas, a twelve-hole tuned to Alto-C, and one with two chambers that has a range of two octaves plus two. I love them both, I can play them both really well, and I thinking of getting a three-chambered one. Where did you get yours?

I had a four-holed ocarina, and was pretty good at it until I accidentally shattered it into pieces...

Heard of it, seen many different variations, even someone play one that was a replica of the actual Ocarina of Time.

Yeah, I've seen some of those videos too. I got a new one recently, a Peruvian pendant ocarina. It sucks.

How does one find said ocarinas on the market today? I've been wanting to pick up the recoder-fife group of intruments for a while, but I can't find ocarinas in particular.

smile I've always wanted to learn to play one. And . . . this year in marching band, our music requires an ocarina player. smile

I love the Legend of Zelda series and so I bought a replica of the Ocarina of Time. It came with a couple of songbooks that included Legend of Zelda songs. It's really awesome and I love it! heart
