Eh I wish. the first 2 years was a Mike Skinner stink up fest. They only did it one more time after that. (It was a cup race, however it was not a points race.)

JAGUAR201811 sonictim2004 JAGUAR201811 NASCAR has officially stated that the Nationwide series will not be returning to Mexico to race. Officials say that they have accomplished a solid base for the sport and it's time to leave. Iowa is the favored track to replace it. That would be cool because watching races at Iowa is fun, it's a great track. (Currently used for ARCA.) I liked watching the road race in Mexico, but I understand all the hassel. If their goal's been met, what's the deal with Canada? I hope they stay there. montreal may be different though, cause that is right on the US, canada border. That is a better facility and better race to watch than mexico in my opinion. Yeah, I was excited when I first saw that there was another road race on the NNS schedule. If I recall correctly, the Montreal raceway is only about 400 miles away from Pocono. Which is good for me because I live in Pennsylvania... on the other side of the state lol.

JAGUAR201811 CrossFire43 Not to mention the fact that this isn't the first time that Nascar dipped their foot in International waters... and then pulled it out. Remeber Japan? I heard about that, didn't see it though. must have been good. I wish I could of watched that one. Maybe it'll be on that back in the day thing with Dale Jr. It's some show on SPEED in which they show old races. I also wish I could of seen the Montreal race in the rain. I don't see what nascar fans are always whining about with road courses, they're great fun! Well, besides the seating.

I have only seen a clip or 2 of those 3 races in my entire life... Was it even televised?

I'm glad they got rid of the race there. It was way too expensive for the teams. Plus, NASCAR already has too many problems with the locations in the U.S., they should put together a solid schedule in the States before they move to other countries. That's F1's turf anyway.

It gave Nascar a new venture with another chance for people to open its eyes to it. This can very well be done in just 3 years. Look at the Nielson ratings of the Mexico City Race. It went up with each year. Along with the overall Mexican viewing for Nascar as a whole. And yeah you are right... we have enough crap here in the "gilded" America as it is. stare

Agreed, I do not believe that we need to foreign dates on the schedule. However I would like a 3rd cup coarse on the scedule... mainly in the chase.

If the chase is suppose to be a small season, then we need a road course. Too bad Riverside is gone.
