Julien leaned forward, setting his elbows on his legs as he looked at the painting rather than at her. Such an existence sounded so lonely to him... "Maybe you'll find a good friend yourself soon," he suggested softly, considering his words for a long moment. "Or maybe one will find you," he added, offering her an impish grin as he referred to the way they'd met. "You never know..."

Aelia looked up at him, a little confused to the meaning of his words. She hoped to find a friend, though she had not thought of the possibility of one finding her, it's not everyday a person wonders into your life and...her train of thought slowed as she recalled herself doing that very thing to Shyer when they had first met. In fact, allot of ashe and their loving owners seemed to do that. She smiled in her own sort of way, he was right you never did I know.
"Maybe one day..."
It was at this moment in time that Shyer had given up, retracing the steps she'd previously taken to see if she could spot her young charge somewhere. She stopped, hearing a recognisable voice. On turning the corner she saw down the end, sitting quite comfortable Aelia. Not just Aelia though, some...some..STRANGER!
"Get the heck away from her!"
She screeched loudly, striding down the hall, ablaze with the indignance that some creep had actually tried to do well..something!

Julien looked up at the screech, startled out of his gentle thoughts by it. He blinked at the woman charging toward him a few times in honest surprise, though he was smart enough to stand and take a step away from Aelia at the same time. 'Guardian' his instincts said, given the protective flare in her eyes.
How could he possibly defuse this? Especially before they were all kicked out of the museum for disorderly conduct!
"Hello," he offered, holding out a hand to Shyer.

With a calm indifference Aealia watched Shyer stomp towards them, noticing, with slight apprehension and interest, the fury flaring in her guardian’s eyes. Another lecture on running away or staying within sight she supposed, only when Julien stepped away did she realise that said fury was in fact not directed at her at all.
By this time Shyer had gotten to Julien, yanking Aelia's arm with a surprising strength and tugged her off the chair without even letting her eyes slide off the face of the creep who had dared even approach such a naive and amiable young girl, the nerve!
She knocked aside his well meaning hand, like it would burn at the touch.
"How dare you! What kind of scum...?"
She yelled, not bothering to keep her voice down. The more the merrier she figured since guards would drag away whatever kind of creep this was.
Normally Shyer was opposed to violence, and was the least likely to stat it, given her assumptions about the situation though, violence and anger had seemed a very viable option. Her breathing was coming out raggedly and it was only then she realised it was not only fury but fear that caused this. If she had run into a would be child...she shuddered before even thinking the word, what would he do to her? In hindsight her actions may not have been the most logical plan...

This was not good... Julien was only just beginning to grasp the concept that not everyone he'd meet would be friendly, but this was just... He shook his head a bit, maintaining the pleasant smile on his face as his hand dropped. How to get out of this?
He could try to defuse her... but perhaps simply shocking her out of her tirade would be best, whereupon he could talk to her much more reasonably once she had calmed. Still, the question remained. How best to shock someone like this?
He let her rant for a moment as he thought, not paying much attention to the words. Instead, his brain was going over just what might be shocking to Mir, or Felicity, or Cindy. And then, it hit him. Aelia'd had that glamour over her when they'd met, so perhaps simply pointing out, quietly, what she was would be enough.
"I hadn't expected to meet another Ashe when I came here," he said, pitching his voice lowish, and trying to time it for when she took a breath, so that she could hear him.

It would have been close to impossible for Julien to pick a better phrase to shock and distract the furious rampage of shyer's unhindered temper. Though, she had continued to pull Aelia a little closer and still glared at the young man before the words sunk in.
Meet another Ashe?
The parade of accusations came to a slow halt, shyer looking somewhat confused, though still suspiciously, between Aelia and the person before her. So then he...could see...
It was in this brief silence the youngest of the trio took the opportunity to speak and catch up her guardian on what she had missed in the few moments they had split up.
"I know him."
She shrugged, tugging on Shyer's hand and looking back at Julien.
The way she had said know was what made Shyer click that the person before her really was one of the half fae she had been lead to come to know. It wasn't that Aelia knew the guy well she just knew him on the terms that a spider knows another spider is a spider, a beetle knows another beetle from its own species. She just...knew. Thinking this a few key things which Shyer had initially missed in her recklessness, mainly a pair of pointed ears.
"Oh..."
She said lamely, the single syllable carrying all the embarrassment, defeated anger and surprise which she had felt within the last few seconds.

Julien's smile, firmly in place but not quite genuine throughout the tirade, warmed a little now that it was over. He waited a moment, then offered his hand to Shyer again, eyes as gentle as ever. "It's nice to meet you," he said. "Aelia and I were having a nice talk while she waited for you to find her." He offered no complaint about her initial impression of him, and no defense of himself. Really, he thought, things might smooth over a bit better if he seemed to let the whole matter drop without thought.
At least... that was a definite hope.
He opened his mouth to say something more, then let it close without speaking. Given her impression, perhaps pointing out how lovely Aelia was wouldn't be quite the smartest move...

"huh, yeah. Good meeting you to. Mr?"
A vibrant shade coloured Shyer's cheeks while her eyes remained firmly placed anywhere but directly at him. Despite her attempts to try and continue in much the same way he had, dropping it alltogether, it was obvious she was not the type to let it go. In desperation she turned to another topic, branching off from his own observations of having a talk with Aelia.
Shyer rounded sternly on Aelia.
"Yes well, Perhaps things may have gone a little smoother if you hadn't run off. I've told you before about it haven't I?"
Shyer could have laughed if it weren't for the audience she had. She could remember all to well hearing those own words frm her mother and wondered how they'd gotten put into her mouth. Maybe she was over doing the parental thing?

One thing Julien was not comfortable with was seeing someone else get chided in front of him. He waited a moment, considering his options before finally deciding that perhaps rather than let it carry it, it might not hurt to interject something. At the very least, it couldn't destroy Shyer's opinion of him any further, he reflected.
"It's easy to get lost in here," he offered, rather than take sides either way. "You get looking at a picture, and next thing you know, ten minutes has passed and everyone around you has wandered on." There... hopefully that was diplomatic enough.
