Here's a link to my painting final. How is this relevant to anything? The subject is abortion. It's in the expressionist style and may not be suitable for all ages.

Aww crap, I put a warning on it, it must want you to be signed in to see it... I'll see if I can change it.
Edit- There, took the warning off it. It should be viewable to the general public. Well, maybe "should" isn't the right word, not sure the general public should be seeing things like this.

I have to say it's very original to say the least (can understand why it's not for everyone though).
It's kind of sad how society wants women to act one way but instead of fighting for actual individual rights and try to prove that women don't have to be a certain way, they are fighting for the wrong thing (I feel like that is more anti-woman since that is part of being a woman. I understand not everyone wants kids but there has to be a better way).

Oh WOW! Divine you sure have talent. Forget the actual act of painting, I just don't have the kind of brain that would come up with all that symbolism.

Cyanna Oh WOW! Divine you sure have talent. Forget the actual act of painting, I just don't have the kind of brain that would come up with all that symbolism. Thank you. I think that a symbolic argument would be more efficient- It's not the general "Abortion is bad" or "Babies want to be born" or direct assaults like this. But a symbolic argument shows the soul of the issue- By rotating the subject matter around the central point, you clear away the hackneyed point and counterpoint and see the heart of the issue for what it is. This one just sort of came to me when I was thinking of ideas for a final painting. I realized I didn't like painting because I'm not very precise with a brush, and I kind of liked the composition of expressionism, so I gave it a shot.

Bump- No political art yet, but I did upload some stuff. Next semester I have a crapton of art classes, so I should have at least one that asks for political stuff. If not, I'll probably do some anyway.
