"So, Edward...your mate ran off to Lanius? That's strange." Gregory took a white-blonde curl in between his two fingers and twisted it as he thought. "Well, if you've ever heard of Stokholm syndrome...that could be why. She thinks she loves him. Or maybe she really does. I've only read stories about this happening. But a mate..."

Sam smacked his head. "Why didn't I think of that. That could be a great possibility." *** Edward nodded. "Either way, she is a liability to us all right now. As it stands Sergei has an alliance with Lanius, and that means Lanius' men can come here and pick a fight. Actually I kinda wish they would, it would prove to him that they are the bad guys."

Edward Grey Sam smacked his head. "Why didn't I think of that. That could be a great possibility." *** Edward nodded. "Either way, she is a liability to us all right now. As it stands Sergei has an alliance with Lanius, and that means Lanius' men can come here and pick a fight. Actually I kinda wish they would, it would prove to him that they are the bad guys." "What do you think Alice'll do once she reaches Lanius? He already tried to kill her, right? And you can't keep trying to rescue her EVERY time. It'll get old after awhile."

"He knew about her healing ability, he just wanted to cause her pain, not kill her. And I am not going to go back and chase her down. Its most likely a ploy in the end for me to get killed by Lanius." Edward just shook his head. "Damn Lydia, why did you have to run off now to go get your father, I need you." Edward said under his breath.

Gregory's keen hearing picked up on what Edward had said and replied, "I can't blame Alice, I guess. I wouldn't appreciate being runner-up to my mate's heart if I were her." And with that said, he slipped off down the hallway. "I'm going to find Sergei."

Edward flushed. "Mim is my best friend, that doesn't mean Alice is runner up." Edward walked to the entry way and looked for any sign of anyone approaching."

Terra, annoyed, layed along the wall and watched the courtyard. humans always put her in a bad mood.. she sighed, smoke curling upward from her mouth. the human had been cute.. too bad, it was such a waste that he had been rude. she mused, her tail flicking like a cats. without really noticeing why, Terra always came back here. it was familiar, and held good memories. laying her head down she let her eyes close, dozeing off as her memories played through her mind.

Gregory hadn't been able to find Sergei and sighed, feeling disappointed. So, he'd have to wait. Walking into the courtyard, he surveyed the area. It hadn't changed too much. He was curious about something though. The dragon. Where had she gone? It had been too long, so he figured she'd either forgotten or left for some place less risky. *** Mim had finally returned after her talk with Avarice. He was going to consider it. Better than an outright no. Still. Mimicry tied her hair back as she roamed the halls, searching for Edward. "Where'd that idiot run off to?" She mused. "If we're going to get ANYTHING done, we should atleast be able to report back to one another."

Reks padded lightly down the main stairs, her sword straped to her back and her dagger at her side. she felt it, the call to go.. her shoulders straitened and she looked back once, smileing slightly at her mother before turning away. she would be back..
Bain felt a tear fall down her cheek, pride welling in her chest as her daughter left. she would worry.. all mothers did.. but with Sergei's temper and her own powers, she knew Reks would come home again. she watched the path for a while, her hand against the stone doorway. it was strange to think of this place as home.. but she did. the man she loved was here, her daughter would return here.. to her, there was no better home. though the idea of her and Sergei haveing to deal with each other again was amuseing.. i hope they have good medics.. she mused.

at a steady walk Reks studied the building, both warry and exited. it still looked big.. though the last time she had been here it had been much bigger. the sword strapped at her side was comferting, the well worn hilt fitting under her palm perfectly as she looked at the castle. will they know me..? she wasnt a child anymore, she had answered the call and left to the demon realms years ago.. though for them it must have been just under a year. rubbing a hand across her temple she sighed, paceing back and forth infront of the gate. " no.. not a good idea, mabye ill come back later. should i call first..? dad wont know me, will he?" she was 17, an adult in her own right.. not to mention she was a warrior, a clan leader.. why was it so hard to speak to her family again?
