Eve laughed for a moment the hissed. "Maybe it is just me then. But I don't like those who look normal on the outside then. I have come across to many that hate me because of what I am." She sighed for a moment and found control. "I really don't care if every dragonfly has something special about them. I made sure that my young never had to face that. If I ever heard anyone speak about them in the wrong way."

Eve brought up more old feelings about her young and she felt her heart twinge a little more for Kagutsuchi. She wondered where he was and what his life had been like since his hellish childhood. She sighed to herself and nodded" I know what you mean. It's important to protect your young from hurt, but sometimes it makes them stronger if you don't shelter them too much. I have eight young ones of my own." She smiled to herself thinking about her recent breeding with Kayle. He was a good dragonfly. She knew that he had a harshness to him but that would only protect her young. She looked back to Eve and smiled. "It sounds like your journey has taken you a long way. Be glad that you are strong for your progeny."

Eve sat and curled her tail around herself. "Hmm, strong?" She thought about that for a moment. "No I was not strong I was scared that they would have to deal with what I had to. As much as I would have loved to follow them all around at an early age I like them wander. They could always come back and have. Seems some of them have found friends that don't judge them." She paws at her tail ring thinking again. "I only have four young. There father was more of a traveling dragonfly so not long after they were born she went off. We agreed that it was alright for him to go off. After they got old enough I went on back on my travels but I always come back to check on my young."

She nodded listening intently. "Yes the fathers of my young have always been extremely strong and... often pig-headed... my first lover was violent and terrible to my young but my new love, well he is quite suited for fathering he just doesn't realize it. He is so tough on himself but I think that helps him focus." He padded over a little closer to Eve so she could look at her and take in her scent. "Your fur is quite beautiful..." Somehow she hadn't realized that she was moving off topic, but she couldn't help but eye her deep shining black fur.

Eve was thinking now. "My first mate was a charmer. And would also do anything for his kids or for me. Maybe I will met up with him again some day." She blinked and looked at the other dragonfly for a moment. "As nice as it is. It helps me hide in the dark and in trees." She took this time to get a better look at the other dragonfly.

Amaterasu tilted her head and glanced up at the trees again. "Ah... I assume it would... My markings seem to not blend in with anything." She scoffed and turned her head to the side feeling almost envious of the others discrete body colors. "Must be nice to not be showy all the time..." She could now even see her bright glowing markings reflecting onto the trees as the sun was going dimmer. Her big shield spun brightly, flickering back and forth, and her tail swishes leaving black steaks faintly in the air, before vanishing.

"There is nothing wrong with being showy. You are not small for what you are, were on the other hand I'm smaller then a normal adult. And I think if I ever became an elder, I would still be really small." Eve sighed and watched the other adult. "I like your looks. They seems to suit who you are." She half laughed at that because she had never really told anyone that before. But she did like her white fur and markings.

Amaterasu smiled brightly and her big tail swished more, while her shield spun and shined a little brighter. "Why, thank you... I must say that is the first time someone has told me that besides my son, but I think he would love me for whatever I was." She looked intently into the others eyes with passionate happiness; the comment had really cheered her up.

"I really can't see why someone else wouldn't say that to you. I always liked the white colored fur, but that might be because of my past..." She looked down for a moment at that thought but then purred. "You are a nice looking dragonfly no matter what other say. But I can't say that for myself, I'm to small to even be an adult..."

Amaterasu tilted her head to the side. "Oh but that doesn't matter. It's not about size. Look at your form. Your sleek and skinny and shapely. Unlike children who have stumpy little legs and arms and big heads. Your proportions are that of an adult. I have seen some that are as big as an elder but are still just adults from form and horn shape. But your entire body shows me that you are definitely an adult. I hardly noticed your size... somehow... I think it makes you all the cuter..." Amaterasu grinned and trotted around in a circle happily.

Eve just blinked. It had been so long from the last time that someone had said she was cute. "Thank you... To many dragonflies that I have come across have said things I would love to forget. But you seem kind of like me." She smiled at the other dragonfly a little. "It has been way to long..."

Amaterasu's big tail swished mightily through the air and big black streaks followed it. Her tail always followed her happiness. "Well... forget about them then... and stay with me if we are so alike..." She tilted her head and padded forward calming down a little. Her tongue flicked out and slid over Eve's cheek. "Cheer up, small one, and accept yourself for who you are because it sets you aside from those who would say harsh things to you. They are probably just jealous that you are so unique." Amaterasu's face nuzzled Eve's in a motherly way.
