But also because there are just way to many unanswered questions that they left behind which just frustrate people more than it makes them satisfied.

I have to admit, I was rather frustrated with the ending. Not because of the energy-bending, the turtle, or the lack of Ozai-killing (though you have raised several good points there), but because of the aforementioned unanswered questions. It's almost enough for an entire season, let alone the promised movie.

...Well, that and the ZukoxMai pairing. She's gotten brownie points since she started breaking out of that 'blah' state she's lived in, but in no way did she have enough to afford Zuko. *trails off into a grumbled rant about pairings*

Was there ever an explanation to the part when June said Aang didn't exist? I didn't get that DX

I hate it how they left the ending with Zuko and his mom thing.

They should've ended also with Toph and her parents, since they had needed to talk.

Aang was on the Lion Turtle at the time the others went to June to see if she could look for him. I guessed that because the Lion Turtle is ancient and semi-mysterious (only thought when Aang was lured there in the night razz ) that it may almost be like that lion turtle doesn't exist. Or something, it's sort of hard to explain.

I was going to say that maybe sents don't cary over the OCEAN, but she was able to find that guy on Zuko's ship, so... *shrugs*

Oh no, that Lionturtle has to be mystical. From the way Aang described it and the others reacted to it Lionturtles are not completely rare, but they also are not island sized. The general consensus is for animals to get that large they must be very old. And old things also tend to be very mystical. We saw just how mystical that Lionturtle can be so I'd say he was mystical enough to be a pseudo spirit world.

It made me think of Miyazaki a bit too. Did anyone else think the part where Aang took away the Pheonix King's bending was a little like the part in Raiders of the Lost Ark where the Nazis open the ark? I kept expecting the guy's head to melt or explode or something. burning_eyes
